May I know roughly what is the price for HTC Desire now? A guy from PDA Expert in Sunway Pyramid was trying to sell me this for 1299, original, he said. Worth it? smile.gif
*
I guess ori would be around that price. Tho i think if you look around garage sales can get cheaper. If ap now i think 900 or less. Anyways if your budget is around that i recommend getting desire s or top up abit more nn get IS

Smooth? imo Sense is never 100% smooth but good enough and can use lah.

But got quite a few bugs.

KNOW BUGS:

Lockscreen-, Skin-, Wallpaper-Preview

Although the wallpaper preview one won't affect me since I never preview but the lockscreen one..lol.

Not many FC for me though

FFS now stuck on boot. FUUUU-

Added on October 28, 2011, 9:55 amFUUUU too slow I quit. sad.gif It's too buggy and beta-ey..But I would say HTC's launcher is pretty good. PRETTY good. Don't need to use Go Launcher anymore xD

Overall looks is very promising.

Added on October 28, 2011, 10:12 amCompared to InsertCoin stable one, it's not smooth at all.

Added on October 28, 2011, 10:31 amGuys what's the best mobile data monitor app you have (w/good widget?) Share with me thanks.
And yeah finally I use Mobile Data..LOl
*
Ah thanks for the heads up. Guess I'll wait for that rom to get really stable before trying it out. If you're still up for flashing sense roms I recommend you try Tabasco Silky Smooth rom. Cheesy name i know tongue.gif but its really the smoothest sense rom I've used better than leedroid imo. smile.gif

wats d best sense ROM u guys recommended i wonder? with speed n smoothness in mind. Leedroid? Coolsense? Runnymede?
on runnymede since yesterday, d UI everythngy is great (its sense 3.5 afterall..) but there is slight lagging here n there as ShinnKQ pointed out..

maybe will try Leedroid 3.3 desireHD port later to see if its suited me, tried MIUI, its great but missing the gud old HTC IME (with chinese)

how would u guys tackle the internal storage prob? still outta space when i was till in MIUI A2SD+..can foreseen it will happen again in other A2SD+ ROM
*
Try Tabasco's silky smooth rom if you're looking for a fast rom without all the xtras

Are you using this Rom too?
How's it like?
*
It's really smooth compared to the other sense roms but it doesnt have all the extra bling though. It's plain sense 2.1 . Battery life is average I guess. I seem to be getting the samme battery life whichever rom I'm using nowadays

IINM stock MTD just means stock hboot not cm7 or oxygen or something else. The rom uses snq kernel smile.gif

thanks  rclxms.gif
and another noob question~ errr, standard procedure like other rom flashing procedure?

Added on November 26, 2011, 3:33 pmsilly question 2:

After partitioning a SD, should i do anything like aligning it??
what's the purpose?

Added on November 26, 2011, 3:46 pmerm~ correct me if im wrong~~ please really do so~ 1st time flasher~ dont want to encounter with any error ><

1. Download the rom i wish to flash (downloaded TabascoSilky)
2. Root the Desire
3. Partition SD(512MB) and is alignment needed?
4. Nandroid B-up
5. Swipe everything (battery, dalvik, cache... )
6. Flash rom from sd:
7. wait for it to finish~~

is that soo???? getting boring boring and boring with the stock adi~
*
Yup should be correct. Aren't you already rooted? If rooted already just dl the rom, place it into your sd card, boot into recovery and just flash. Not sure what the alignment thing is for so far I've never aligned my partition since i bought the phone middle of last year.
Note: partitioning your sd will wipe everything off it so back up anything important on your com

rooted, but unroot it back~~ stupid CWM was at 2.5.0.7 while the newest was 5.0.7.0~
i dont wan to take chances S-Off-ing the Desire and update the .img from there~
1 more question~ S-On by flashing stock RUU too and kernel will back to stock kernel?
afterall, make sure nothings wrong before start, will lessen the panic~ ><
*
Yup you can check what kernel you're on by going into settings and software info. IMO what version of CWM you're using doesn't matter much as long as it works. I'm using 2.5.07 too tongue.gif never bothered to upgrade it since it wasn't giving me any problems anyways

or mayb u can do it using Recovery?
*
I flashed the stock ROM, and also wipe out all data in recovery mode. Don't know why all the apps are still there, sigh...
*
That's odd. You mean you can't get rid of apps you've downloaded and iinstalled?
@Ahpang O.O weird, I've never heard about flashing a rom and then having your recovery downgraded.
