QUOTE(KTCY @ Jan 29 2012, 11:18 PM) Because my hp is USB brick. Try use the method mentioned by djlah.I can't even solve this. Anyone from Penang can help up ? I don't mind buying you cup of coffee or paying you. http://android.modaco.com/topic/309939-usb...edb0rked-fixed/ it will work, got proper steps. If you're stuck at CID I believe there was a way to print it out/read it using Fastboot Commander but I'm not sure if you can still read with S-ON. Oh, then it's not USB brick.
It's called misc error that 1 very easy to fix iirc. but you need find out your CID. Then use the update.zip found in the link given and done. This post has been edited by ShinnKQ: Jan 30 2012, 09:35 AM |

QUOTE(jenwai @ Feb 8 2012, 12:52 PM) I just found out there's a simple way to update my Desire from this site. Voids the warranty.http://htcdev.com/ Anyone tried before? Does it work? Don't do it, is my advice. If you really want to update better flash custom rom that uses that same dev GB rom. Way more stable. |

GingerBurst more fun.
If you are skeptical/unsure/suspicious about the steps or anything, do not hesitate to post here. Will help you with what I can. Just remember to: Mention what you did Mention what you were about to do Mention the error Hardware problem may be related to hardware issue or can also be a brick/disability caused by wrong kernel,etc.. Anyway follow the 3 mention rule, should help. Oh be concise and straight to the point This post has been edited by ShinnKQ: Feb 8 2012, 11:09 PM |

QUOTE(jenwai @ Feb 8 2012, 11:11 PM) Yes but you must use Revolutionary.io to root the phone as it will be your only option to.Though I doubt you'd feel any benefits compared to using custom ROMs such as additional space obtained from microSD or htc sense 2.1 quick settings notification. QUOTE(jenwai @ Feb 9 2012, 08:44 AM) Thanks ShinnKQ, It's not really custom rom. Come from HTC still can be considered official rom but just for devs not for daily usage...But, I'm still a bit dizzy about the rooting and flashing. The Custom ROM which I get from http://htcdev.com/ seems to be really easy. Just an installer and click to install. Then done. (I'm not comparing, just that I'm a new with "flashing". No Offence, ok?) Anyway, I'll try to study the Gingerburst again tonite. still can use but I heard got small bugs here and there and more crashes compared with froyo one and you can't revert back to froyo unless you root. |

QUOTE(jenwai @ Feb 9 2012, 10:33 PM) ShinnKQ, You never quote my post deswai I no respond lolFew question. 1. Is there any other way to Partition the card into 2 partitions, besides "GParted"? 2. Can I still use the phone as a card reader to do partition? I don't have MiniSD Card Holder. 3. Is GingerBurst_1.0.0.3 the latest and most stable version? (I was afraid that I missd out anything) One more same old Question, If I were to install the Stock ROM which I get from http://htcdev.com/, Can I still root to Gingerburst? Coz, I'm running out of time, I need to get this phone working for usage. (Just for your info, this phone keep on FC in everything. Maybe Firmware crashed) Added on February 10, 2012, 7:04 pmShinnKQ, R u still around? ACTUALLY THERE IS another way to create partitions! You get the Recovery called 4Ext or others too! They can partition your sd card for you. Yes you can. If everything FC, have you tried factory reset? Are you sure software problem or hardware? Anyway u try the dev first la QUOTE(nick67 @ Feb 12 2012, 12:55 PM) Use a battery monitoring app like every 5 mins or so.Leave it on idle then you know loh. |

QUOTE(djlah @ Feb 14 2012, 11:37 PM) but not confirm it's gonna plan to offer from samsung malaysia or not. Personally, I wouldn't buy it since quad is around the corner.if you can purchase online ship from US. then you can consider it. beside Xplay, how about Xperia S? advertisement quite often now, I guess very soon landing here.... The only exception is due to GN being..Nexus. xplay is only due to the controls and street fighter IV HD being available to other android devices in May making it a nice choice however Nexus phone is still my top choice. I have a feeling xplay will be dual core. Xperia S is not bad but depends on the price I guess... |
