oh..I tok moving to SD card solution already resolve insufficient internal memory long time ago? try search desire threads here or google it, plenty of methods you can opt for. but moving all moveable data to sd will also sacrifice system performance. you have to judge and balance between space vs. performance.

try other chinese music player then.....

I have whatever apps you mentioned installed + quite a lot of number of apps installed last time (already jumped ship). those unmovable apps no choice, but we can mod the system partition + better A2SD script + more clean custom rom. hope it's help.

after Desire series, I guess Sensation branding is not so popular and famous, it's pull HTC sales down few months. That's why now, new branding "One", HTC One X look promising... from the photo review, the screen and bezel gap reduced, Sense 3.5 too bloat and now back to light Sense; better optional accessories offer; but Non-removable battery is the main complaint, only 1650 mAh with Li-Po technology instead of normal standard Li-Ion. nobody can confirm yet is Li-Po is better? last longer? less heat?

somehow, new HTC now is best balance design I will said. both software or hardware seem better than new Xperia. still like HTC build material quality. HTC Desire, year 2010 of the phone in T3. I will remember this

wat kind old files you mentioned at which location? apps? example? and which part you wipe in recovery?

Desire system partition in internal memory:
/system - just flash any rom
/cache - "wipe cache partition" in recovery to delete this
/data - "wipe data/factory reset" in recovery to delete this

if you have partition the sd card:
ext2/3/4 partition & rest of FAT32 for your saved files.
just re-partition the sd card, all will gone. (I guess this is the 1 you looking for)

i guess all above mentioned already cover all the storage available. if still not working, might need to re-flash good recovery; else, just get Root Explorer to access your ext3 partition to manually delete the file you want only.

if not mistaken, I had see this before.
you may the method below if the history is not so important for you

1. clear data & cache of Whatsapp
2. delete the Whatsapp folder in the SD card.

try again, should be ok. I don't think is custom rom cause.

if you have rooted your phone and recovery ready, various solution available long time ago.

if you do not have important message; first, go to setting>apps, clear whatsapp cache and try again. second, go to your sd card, delete the whatsapp entire folder, then try again.
