Donna owned the doll, Anabelle.



They noticed Annabelle seemed to move on her own. At first it was just changes in position, then changes in loaction. The girls would leave the apartment with Annabelle on Donna’s bed and return home to find it on the couch.

Then they started to find pieces of messages written on paper...

Flashback:

One night when the nurses returned home, they saw a piece of brown crumpled paper on the floor written in child's handwriting: “Miss Me?”



When they entered the apartment, the wall was full of red crayon doodles and the ceiling had a similar message “Miss me?” written in similar child's handwriting.

Then, a red crayon rolled into the room and both of them panicked. One of the girls brought the piece of crumpled note and Annabelle to the huge garbage bin at the back alley and dumped them, closing the lid.

When they were sleeping, suddenly the nurses heard loud banging on the door and went to check. When she opened the door, the brown crumpled note was on the floor.

Scene return to current living room:

Donna said she consulted a medium... and the medium said that a girl named Annabelle had been found dead in that apartment. When the doll came into the apartment, the spirit attached to it. The spirit just wanted to stay with them.

Being nice caring nursing students, they agreed. But things got worse and they decided to call E&L.

E&L told them that actually the doll was a “conduit” for inhuman spirit.

They asked what was inhuman spirit?

E&L told them inhuman spirits are demons

Evil spirits do not possess inanimate objects. They possess humans. The evil spirits actually wanted to possess the girl, and the girls had allowed the evil spirit to do so by keeping the doll.

Then the scene cut to a lecture hall where E&L were lecturing about this case and the audience raised their hands asking questions like "what happened next?"

E&L asked a priest to peform exorcism on the apartment and E&L took away the doll.

“where is the doll now?”

Ed answered: “In a safe place…”

There is a room in E&L’s house that was used for keeping objects which have been used in sorcery, witchcraft, rituals and some were “possessed” with powerful dark evil spirits.



Ed was showing a reporter where Anabelle was kept, locked in a glass cabinet and had a sign “ POSITIVELY DO NOT TOUCH”

Suddenly, Ed felt something in the room and went behind the rack. He caught his daughter, Judy, hiding behind a rack. Ed chased her out and told her the room was strictly “off-limit”.

They were happy moving in stuffs and April the youngest daughter wanted to hang her wind chime. Her mom told her there was a hook at the porch and she hung it there.

However, their dog, Sadie, refused to enter the house. So Roger tied the dog outside.

The youngest daughter, April found a musical box with a clown and a rotating mirror. She was playing with it under a huge tree by the lake with a small jetty and boat.

At night, the daughters were playing hide and seek in the house by blindfolding the “Seeker” and they clapped once to indicate their hiding location. Then they accidentally broke one of the planks on the wall and revealed the opening to an underground cellar.

The Father, Roger, tried the switch on the wall but the lamp was not working. He asked for a box of matches and went down alone. There were lots of spider cobwebs and it was dark and eerie.



He found an old piano, hitting the piano keys and saw a lot of unwanted furniture. He called Carolyn to come down to see for herself all the unwanted furniture and decided to check if the furnace was working coz it was freezing cold.

Before Carolyn and Roger went to bed, they looked at Sadie which was tied outside. Then Carolyn and Roger made love in the new house.

.... Carolyn woke up with a mysterious bruise on her leg and showed to Roger. Roger jokingly said he didn’t do it.

Carolyn realized that all the clock in the house stopped at 3:07am.

When she asked her daughters whether they slept well, one said she smelled something like dead carcass in the room at night.

While she was making breakfast, she asked one of daughter to check on Sadie. She screamed and Roger ran out to check on her.

They found Sadie brutally killed outside the house.

They buried Sadie and used two old planks to make an asymmetrical cross with the dog collar on it.

At night, one of the sisters' leg were yanked on the bed and she thought the other sister did it...

The four daughters went to school and only left the mom and the youngest daughter, April at home. The mom saw April playing and talking to someone in the room. April said it was her fren, Rory.

Then she gave the music box to her mom. April asked her mom to wind the music box and look into the spinning mirror, Rory would appear behing her.

However, Rory didnt appear.

Then April asked her mom to play hide and seek because the sisters wouldnt let April join them. The mom reluctantly agreed and April blindfolded the mom with a red cloth.



She can ask for 3 claps as clues. April clapped once to indicate her location... and the mom started to walked around the house blindfolded to look for April.

She stumbled into the room that her two daughters shared...

She asked April to clap and the wardrobe door opened with a pair of hands emerged from inside, clapping once.

The mom walked to the wardrobe but found nothing... she was very shocked and confused when April came into the room and revealed that the mom failed to find her, although she was certain she heard a clap inside the wardrobe...

The mom continued to have bruises in different parts of her body and the father asked her to see Dr. She was prescribed with iron tablets for iron deficiency...

One of the daughter heard banging sound from the wardrobe and woke up to see her sleepwalking younger sister banging her head on the wardrobe door...

She called her dad and they managed to get her back to bed without waking her up...

In a separate incident, the sister whose leg was pulled at night (no pun intended), had a recurring incident and realized that it was not the sister who yanked her leg. She saw the door was ajar and looked under the bed...



She saw something behind the door and woke her sister up...

The sister didnt see anything and stood behind the door...

She said the thing was right behind her and the sister smelled something really bad...

Suddenly the door slammed closed and the rest of the house heard a loud scream...
