Bro, I think those limited Edition can really fetch good price although it's assembled.. well as for my own opinion, if you get a limited edition 1.. keep it for years, well the price will not drop, and it will still fetch same price or even higher..
and if you really like some kits say MG or even PG... u can even take it to the sifu and pay commision work to get it airbrush and frame it up.. with good diorama.. It's a nice display items that I can say after years of keeping it.. it still can fetch high price

..
For me.. Toys/Models really have sentimental value.. it's not just about how every old folks think.. every1 ever play toys before.. somewhere/somehow in their life.. unless.. they grew up not knowing that there're toys in this world..

nope, i just pointing to regular gunpla lol.. until have to sell half price(happened to me

)
and what if limited edition assemble by newbie person? surely you will look disappoint... gunpla is not about the kit, it is the skill is build
and who say i dont appreciate the toys/plamo? even i right now are collecting limited/rare figma and nendoroid... and i still keeping my childhood digimon v-pet which released by Bandai 14 years ago... this thing for sure never re-release again as it is an important collection to me..
as for gunpla,nah i dont think these thing will go rare.. every single place i know also selling the same thing so i dont worry at all if sold out.. i have zero fetish with limited edition item especially clear kit which i think fugly(no offense guys) but i do have fetish with different custom color kit
that why i bought 00 7/Sword Inspection from rihuhs
actually Expo kit is not really limited at all.. proof? you can see at Litt Tak warehouse sale every time.. and the price quite reasonable as well..
the only thing worth to buy is event-kit like Gundam ANA and Shizouka/Odaiba 1/1 gundam event... this thing is so so expensive
oppps, seem i typed too much ar
sorry for tl;dr
