I would assume PBT would cost another extra RM50 or something lol. So i assume majority of the ones being shipped in will be ABS?

I actually prefer the old simple cardboard box with the printed words of DUCKY at the front lol. Maybe it's just personal preference =/ My take on mechanical keyboards revolves around the concept of "minimalistic quality".

Although it does quite resemble FILCO's packaging o.o

Well taking into account the many different brands (from the popular Filco to the rare and wonderful IBM models) it can be quite costly to try to "catch em' all"

Has anyone trying modding their mechs with O-rings yet? Thoughts? I might give it a try just for the sake of curiosity ~.~

Buzz is caused by the keyboard, my friend has experienced the same thing before. The F key is a factory defect i guess.

Oh i'm afraid you misunderstood me, i meant my friend got a defective BW as well and it had buzz, so when he changed it, there's no buzz anymore. So yes, the buzz is a defect, the keyboard is not supposed to generate the buzz sound.

Well it's not my blackwidow but my friend's. And quite a few of them have blackwidows, personally i don't like it because of the "low quality keycaps" <-- Just a personal opinion. I would rather have something like a Ducky (which i have) or a Filco, that is full-sized without weird addons and standard keycaps =/ Of course, that's just my personal opinion. I do not think the blackwidow is a bad keyboard at all, my friends that have it love it.

If you like the blue LED, then go with it! Nothing wrong with having a blackwidow, I just hope that you can get a flawless copy when you go exchange your current one lol

I wonder how do wooden keycaps feel like? o.O But taking into consideration that malaysia is so unbelievably humid, i'm afraid the wood may decay eventually.

Also, I see that most enthusiasts are quite hyped up about modding the keycaps...etc. Are they necessary? Do enlighten me  notworthy.gif

thanks!

Modding the keycaps is just a personal thing, obviously it's not necessary. It's a personal thing. I mean, if you're the type that likes to look at your keyboard and think to yourself "Damn, dat keyboard so pretteh" (I'm one of them) and you have some extra cash to spare, why not? And also, welcome to the dark side! Where we have cookies and like to stare at photos of keyboards happy.gif

If you make it 300+ you may be able to afford ducky shines, those are illuminated as well.
