OKAY.. I'm done trolling and joking lolÂ
about that perfume Bro Edward post. I respect's kelthuzad's opinion. however, why are they 'wrong' just because they are cheap? or even made in China, for that matter. I do have a question. or two
1. Prada Pour Homme = Channel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme / some say Chanel Allure Allure Homme Sport (but I lean more toward Eau Extreme)
*Prada isn't cheap. but they do smell similar.2. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille vs L'Occitane En Provence Eau De Baux
*according to Astroboy, they're not the same. but ALMOST simalar.
Eau De Baux isn't cheapbut when there's this RM 30 perfume which smells familar, it becomes wrong?Â
there are so many perfumes that smells like another.
Animale Animale = Pure Malt/ A*Men (I have not smelled it. but you get the idea. even if just the opening, still
got similarity what)
Perry Ellis 360 Red = Giorgio Armani ADG
Davidoff = CREED Green Irish Tweed
SJ Unforgivable = CREEDÂ MI (very very very very smilar. but
SJ Unforgivable isn't cheap)
so, it's ok to wear perfumes that smell similar to another bottle as long as they are not cheap or not made in China?Â

Just because 2 bottles of perfume smell the same to you, dosent mean it smells the same to other people. Everyone has a different perception of the same scent, based on their experience and memories. It's one of the fun things of perfumery.
Kenzo Power may be similiar to Guerlain Homme for example, but there are very subtle differences that you can only smell when you wear them side by side. Guerlain Homme is more "green" due to the rhubarb.
It's not about the cheapness of the perfume, but its the quality and the concept behind them that matters. for example, A*men and L'instant de Guerlain Pour Homme and Givenchy Play have the same concept which is chocolate, but A*men is more cotton candy artificial vanilla sweetness, L'instant is dark chocolate, lapsang souchong, elemi and sandalwood, and Givenchy play is plasticky chocolate.
Dont get counterfeit perfumes because 1) you dont know what they put in there and 2) dont expect them to smell or behave like the original in terms of longevity and the scent pyramid.
