i'm eyeing for Montal White Aoud. and lately come across to Maison Francis Kurkdjian Oud Silk Mood. tested at Isetan KLCC, cost around RM1200++ Pafrum Extrait. Really tempting... hmm
Luckyscent is selling it for 300USD = roughly 900 MYR. (but not yet include shipping) I love that one a lot but the price is prohibitive.
hey guys i just got this from auction ! It's Mitsouko extrait 7ml . I asked the guy from monsieurguerlain.com and he confirmed the authencity based on the pictures i sent him. I'm so thrilled right now.
That guy said it was from the 90's.
I'm just a beginner, if u ask me how it smells, i'll just say it smells like attar's oil lol .
the bottle looks freaking new i thought it was fake. the box is damaged a little but still fine.
this'd be my first vintage collection
lol mitsouko dosent smell like attar oil, it smells like peach, roses, jasmine and vetiver. The Parfum version would be quite strong in scent of the notes that I have mentioned. 90s isnt vintage yet, vintage perfumes usually are about 20 - 30 years ago. But good start.
I see, Many thanks for info =). Ive seen your website, noticed u also have Aventus ? =)
Im currently searching around the web, noticed Aventus have problems and many different batches providing different performance, smell, longevity, etc.
Heart pain if pay much but get inferior batch, or if smell only last 2-3 hours, close to skin then gone with the wind.
This is why im not a big fan of creed. Their scents arent 'special', but they smell like popular scents to me and also the issue with the different batches. I'd stick with Guerlain and niche lol.
lol my nose dun get that yet. i got it less than rm90 . how do u guys train ur nose anyway ?
wow that is cheap.
You train your nose by sniffing essential oils and and also by analyzing the scent and try to make up the mixture according to the notes. It does take time and you have to sniff many bottles before you can tell easily what you are smelling.
IS Guerlain niche or designer? I am dreaming of getting L'instant de Guerlain Extreme, but i have dior homme intense edi, should i? or should i go with the normal L'instant?
Currently looking at: -Dior Fahrenheit Absolute -Spicebomb -L'Instant de Guerlain -Tom Ford Black Orchid
for my next bottle.... only can go for 1 bottle
Guerlain isnt niche, but they are a perfume house, they specialize in perfume and cosmetics, which is why i prefer their stuff as Jean Paul Guerlain really knows how to make perfumes.
normal l'instant smells a lot like dark chocolate. the extreme one has a very strong cocoa accent that is sweet. The EDT is not sweet.
LIDGE is different from DHI indeed. I find DHI to be easier to wear. The anise in LIDGE makes it a little sour. When i tested lidge i keep picturing starwberry flavoured chocolate.
hmm sour? I just get sweet chocolate that ends with a slight sandalwood note. been using LIDGE for more than 2 years now. I dont get any strawberry from it. just sweetened cocoa.
Lol who said anything about buying? Just hunt in shopping malls and when you see a store selling essential oils (NOT fragrance oils) just sniff the bottles and remember how they smell.
Anyways, any local online perfume stores to recommend? I wanna get eau savauge for a low price. It's the best after bath scent, next to Hermes' concentre d orange verte.
oh ok. you know anywhere in particular that I can sniff out those e-oils? local frag site? for samples & testers I know la. eau-parfum.com for sure. the best ever. their sprayer is good (I feel it is good quality) and the price is nice too.
but for brand new in box, I'm not quite sure. especially since you're looking at a Dior. Good luck
ive seen them for sale in mid valley, jurlique contains a sizable number but you have to pretend you wanna buy la. lolz. another place is mt sapola in 1u. that one expensive.
ive seen some malaysian online shop selling for rm60/bottle. no way thats the ori.
Where u got it n how much u got it? longevity wise? care share a mini review? pls pls pls
I got it from parfumjewel in 1U. They had some hermes there. This is a scent that go close to the skin over time and to most people it's undetectable, but it's there. Just sniff deeper. It opens with grapefruit and orange, a hint of mint (the icy/cool illusion) followed by a green citrus scent thats close to lemongrass/lime. The drydown is basically just wafts of fresh orange that you'll get throughout the day. Since this is meant to be applied as a cologne, feel free to spray as much as you can. Also spray on your clothes right after you dress up as a finishing touch or else it's gonna be even harder to smell.
