QUOTE(dorinyeah @ Jul 4 2011, 09:05 AM) Wat is SP?? take a look at this pic.Midbox bukan bullet ka? i always tot midbox = bullet. The middle tank is midbox or bullet? [attachmentid=2310706] This is call muffler? [attachmentid=2310708] If someone can describe more the will be good lor...benefit to other to understand wat is full exhaust system? [attachmentid=2310711] [attachmentid=2310730] ori PE set up vs hotbits full set Original 4-1 extractor, cat. conveter, midbox muffler. full set Hotbits 4-2-1 extractor, midbox, bullet+mid box. so if isntall the full set Hotbits you can expect the sound are more sporty due to no muffler. Many sifu here recommend to install part by part and no need to go for full set because full set will cost a bom, 4-2-1 it self already around RM580. QUOTE(azeotrope @ Jul 4 2011, 01:58 PM) i tough Rattle Rusted ReconditionAdded on July 4, 2011, 2:27 pm QUOTE(Cavino @ Jul 4 2011, 02:15 PM) Turning black quickly, does it means also it cleans out the engine more efficiently (thats some of the theory floating around). Maybe golden means it does not unsludge as effeciently Lots of opinion outside but there's a quite a number with opinion as below "I am attached to one of the lubes distributor in MY and, I only recommends max a 7K km "stretch" if you are too busy to change your lubes... And I only recommends FS and SS if you wants your engine to perform better, to be much cleaner and to have better fuel consumption but stick to the regular OCI, that is at 5K km.." Here's a quote from Volvo: "Synthetic oils do not allow further extension of oil drain intervals. It is the contamination rate, i.e., soot, and the depletion of additives, rather than base oil quality that determines the useful engine oil life and therefore the oil change intervals." There is one other opinion "I would be worried if your oil didn't change colour after driving 5km. The purpose of the engine oil is to lubricate and clean the engine internals. So if after 5k of driving and your oil is still nice and clean - better stop using that oil brand." ......haha ----> Castrol ???? Really getting confuse sometimes... Added on July 4, 2011, 2:18 pm If you're h-line and just bought your car recently (May onwards, not sure about April)...you're supposed to get the E-Voucher printed directly from dealer. 1K, 5K, 10K and 20K FOC labour and PARTS. Not sure abt ATF change in 20K, not listed maybe have to pay but spark plugs, engine oil, filters should be FOC with this e-Voucher. AND my darn SA tak da cakap also. DID NOT even mention free service until I found out thru internet and ask him. This post has been edited by ngeo88: Jul 4 2011, 02:27 PM |

QUOTE(dannyw @ Jul 4 2011, 02:43 PM) I also feel like want to try out Castrol since you all mention so nice, and the price also not much different. But SC ppl give me the warning(Your enjine will void the warranty), so dare not try-loh. whoever SC tell you this ask them to give you black and white with a company titlehead warning, and not just verbal threatening you. Then forward to iCare or proton management for verification weather the sentence of conditon void warranty are factual. Added on July 4, 2011, 2:46 pm Yalah, that's true. Else everyone always strike the Magnum already....esp TS But once you heard the new, sure got feeling-loh. Plus now H-line discount even more than my time. QUOTE(dannyw @ Jul 5 2011, 10:18 AM) Is you all car will have 'tak' sound when u accelerate fast from pickup? I got the same problem last time when accelerate from pickup there are only one tak sound, if your car stop and press accelerate there got no sound. Only when the car start move the tak sound come. It sounds like 1 nut is loose from engine compartment, so only notice once i press hard from pickup. If pickup smooth then is ok. But I guess is not easy to find which is the screw not firm. My case it was because the fuel line bracket loose, the nut which is tight the bracket on the firewall is not tightening properly. Whe the car start move the fuel line bracket hit the firewall there the 'tak' sound generate. (Fuel line bracket is the stell bracket to hold the rubber fuel hose that connect between fuel tank to engine, it was located jus behind the engine mounted to the chasiss firewall.) |

QUOTE(Cavino @ Jul 5 2011, 02:32 PM) Hah...do you trust Proton can handle their own CVT? Unless they are using Inspira one. Even then to link that tranny to Proton own engine, you can be sure first couple of years, lots and lots of teething problems. CVT is both expensive and hard to maintain. Some more Malaysian loves to rev and in general CVT is not meant for revving. I thought the Proton CVT won be so poor quality lah it was from Punch Motive ,Germany, just only the model that proton use are the low end technology. Any way it still better than the China brand CVT lah...... Remember what happen to City's CVT? They finally gave up and change back to auto-tranny. More economic. So I guess although it might work, who wants to be a guinea pig?
