Hello guys, I had received my DV6 on June22. But today i only have the time to unbox it.
I am having few problems and questions here.
1. I did not received the so called 3 years local warranty and mystery gift.
2.My dv6 cant read some chinese word (How to setting?)
3.My storm player cant open rmvb files (Sth of codec problems?)
4.When i plug in my 2TB WD to the 3.0 port, i then I switch on the laptop, it will just stop at the HP there. It can be started up only if i plug it to the 2.0.(Any1 having this issue?)
5.Do i need to switch on the Hp automactic update?

BTW, the beats. solo headphones really not worth it, it dont sound better than my 200bucks Sony headphone.
*
3. i use MPC-HC and WMP only for all format.
4. had the same problem before but disappeared after i reformat my pendrive.
5. i prefer to use window update.

my beats sound get better after almost a month i'm using it. got play with the beats audio settings? tongue.gif

Ran into a bump while trying to format and clean install my dv6-6114. After clicking install, a window pop up prompting me to install drivers...I'm not sure what to do. Any sifus out there has done it before? Advise appreciated. Thanks!! biggrin.gif
*
You can get the drivers from HP website. What thing don't have driver?

Managed to restore my win7 back to original home premium but restoring it has also restored the partition back to original sizes...sad.gif. I notice that there is a system partition, am I allowed to delete that partition?
*
200MB partition? I think that's where the bootloader is located. Not safe to delete.

QUOTE(reevephon @ Jun 26 2011, 12:31 AM)
Hey guys, I have been thinking of upgrading my current HDD into Intel X-25M SSD, so I have a question now, is the recovery DVD that created can be used for the new SSD?
*
I think not possible since the recovery will repartition your HDD to its original state.. unless ur SSD is 750GB.. i think there'll be a problem.

QUOTE(AsusFans @ Jun 26 2011, 01:19 AM)
anybody here tried using HDMI cable to connect your DV6 to LCD TV?
May I consult how you do it? Just plugged in the cable and press F4?
*
Yeah.. just press F4 and select if you want it as duplicate screen or extended screen.

Added on June 26, 2011, 2:48 amOut of the blue, my itchy hand automagically open device manager and disabled that Intel HD3000. LCD screen instantly went blackout. laugh.gif

I think possible to make it, bcoz window 7 will auto detect the driver and renew it i guess. Those original OS and factory image were implanted direct copy from the main disc. should be no fine. If got error after recovery, just use window repair to repair it.

what driver?

but he want to install the recovery into new SSD right ? So, it's original harddisc not normal HDD ??
*
I'm not sure if its possible anyway... since recovery will unable to repartition the disc because of the smaller size.

^ oh.. i don't think u can use msi afterburner to monitor your HD6770M. try Open Hardware Monitor and monitor that HD6770M core clock see if it's changing.

I'll try to lurk i NBR forum to check about switchable graphic.

Most of the time it's working right?

The HD6770M won't kicks in when u're using OpenGL base game/app. So game like minecraft or application like Photoshop CS is out. hmm.gif

The one that this guy suggested right?

QUOTE
THE FIX: I turned on the power management [Power Play] checkbox in the ATI CCC settings. Previously, the defaults had it set to MAXIMUM unmanaged by the drivers, but then I changed it to managed Maximum/Maximum {AC Power: Maximum Performance, Battery Power: Maximum Performance}.

NOW Finally Dolphin gets 1.8x to 3x the FPS as it was getting (example: Wii Sports Bowling now is 65 FPS in places it was previous only 35). Open Hardware Monitor shows the Radeon at 750Mhz while wii games are running!

Other notes: I'm running NTSC games, which I ripped from my console myself, and to get > 60FPS you have to turn off the throttle in Dolphin. I also tell Dolphin to lock threads to cores to make sure the turbo goes stable at 2.6Ghz [Dolphin uses only 2 of the 4 cores]. Close all other other open applications. I was running at > 60 FPS just to stress test the system.... see how much headroom I had. Running the latest builds of Dolphin...

Did you monitor the Radeon clock speed while u run the application as well? like this guy.. as u can see he ran that in window mode and the dGPU is working.
