QUOTE(Leon|| @ Feb 29 2012, 09:23 AM) When I check my latest statement, the finance charge for my balance transfer at 0.4999% should be less that the amount stated in statement. Did you pay your CC statement balance BEFORE the Statement Due Date ?Then called to UOB helpdesk they told me the finance charge including my new transaction being made. They explained to me that after once balance transfer is approved, new sale transaction will being charge 17.5% per annual.. Told them to waive the charges for me as the tele-marketing doesn't informed me regarding on this matter and they says subject to management approval.. Could someone verify for me? |

QUOTE(darude87 @ Feb 29 2012, 10:30 AM) i just got my uob one card approved and BT approved as well After checking with UOB CS :-the CS informed me 1 important thing about having BT with uob card according to the CS, if we have BT with our UOB card, any of our retail transaction will be charged for 17.5% PA regardless whether you paying on time or not. So the CS straight away advice me to use it less frequent during this BT period To avoid Finance Charges on New Retail charges 1. Pay 100% of the Retail transaction Amount before statement Due Date (20-days after Statement Date) 2. Pay at least 5% of the Balance Transfer amount (referring to 0% 6-month New-To-Bank BT) Their payment hierachy 1. Retail transacation spends 2. Balance Transfer amount. |
