I have this problem since the past 10 days.. (school holiday I suppose)

Normally I would ladder on NA because my friends are all there.. I'd played 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 with my friends no problem.. I'm using Streamyx and been playing multiplayer on NA server since February without serious lag spikes, except the 0.5-1 sec delay depending on the time I playing.

So now I'm getting serious lag spikes when playing 1v1.. like 1-2 seconds freeze, and then everything fast forward to catch up with what is seen on the opponent's side.. does anyone else having the same issue when playing on NA?

P/S: I have no problem playing on SEA server. I've always been using the SEA client to play on NA server. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

So I'm not alone...
After 3 weeks, I'm still getting this lag. Its unplayable type of lag. Duno what they've done with the routing.

Lately I'm having this spiking lag on the US server too. Kinda annoying and have to stick to SEA..
Is Blizzard purposely doing this to SEA people playing on US server?

it's very hard to get a random opponent for a custom 1v1 game in SEA. US server got thousands playing the game, hence you'll just hv to wait only a few seconds to get an opponent..

in ladder, ppl will use wtv way to steal the ladder points.....too many Zerg players and all uses same strat.

in 1v1 custom game u can practise the map you want, you might meet new friends who likes custom game too, you might meet new practise partners, and you can use it to perfect your build.

It has been like that since season 2 started, for me at least. On Streamyx 1MB only though.

Is it a spiking lag or normal consistent lag that you are having?

Spiking lag. There's some slight delay ~1sec which is still acceptable. But the spiking lag only comes since season 2.

As I said, not only starcraft 2, its the international link in general. Reconnect to a different ip range (not just ip itself) preferably that you can verify that it's connecting on a different gateway as the one you're having is most likely affected and any ip range under it would be affected
