I have heard a lot about immitation supplements especially proteins. They remix the original supplements inside with other cheaper proteins and repack it as brand new. How well do you guys know about this? And is there any way to detect them?

Heard from where?

I heard you like to speak without any research but this has yet to be confirmed.

Well, I'm just curious. I went to google up some information about Protein Supplements and came up some links about remix and repack methods of some sellers trying to earn some extra profits.

And where did you exactly hear that??? I don't really lurk here often but a constructive comments would really help rather than:

And also I would like to know too if it is normal for the seal of the protein supplements to be not intact with the cover when you first open it. I have attached a photo with it. What's weird is that, I found 2 long hair on the seal too. The other hair fly away because of my ceiling fan and the other one remain there because it was stuck there. Please enlighten me.

What the seller told me was that the seals are normally not intact with the cover for ON Whey Protein.

I might be wrong anyway. What he told me was just some 'technical error' that happens in 1 out of 1000 cases when the manufacturing company makes it.

When I bought from GNC back in the old days the seal for the ON's was not completely intact too. I don really give a sh!t though. How many things else can you be worried of? Just down the shake and pump the sh!t out of the irons.

So, it's true that normally the seals for ON's are not completely intact?

The only thing that I can tell you is it happened for GNC's ON too. I will never know if your supplier substituted the content though.

Sometimes even the plastic wrapper outside the lid was replaced by transparent tape. The only reason I can figure out is that the customs randomly opened a few bottles for sampling purpose.

I guess one way of clarifying it is to buy another tub from some other trusted supplier eg BB.com and compare the taste, texture, color etc. Dont think it is so easy to substitute the content with something with exactly the same taste etc.
