Gunung Ledang DTT transmitter is down - folks in Melaka may have to realign their antennas to point towards Bukit Tampin (if they were aligned towards Ledang before), while some folks in North Johore may find their screens blank - they can try realigning but may find the signal strength is lower as they are receiving from farther away.

Bukit Larut transmitter is also now on - folks in Northern Perak may now tune to MyTV over 666MHz (Channel 45)

Unfortunately, not everyone has unlimited internet data or subscribe to Astro. MyFreeview is mainly for those non-Astro/non-Njoi subscribers, people who have no unlimited data, and those who used to enjoy free analogue RTM and Media Prima channels. This group of people will have no choice but to find their way to receive digital TV channels before the analogue switch off by the government.

I could not agree more. The faster and bigger bandwidth broadband like TIME is available only in Klang Valley. Everything Klang Valley. Sarawak and Sabah get last. Sarawak so big only get one transmitter. Actually they should ditch Klang Valley and emphasise on Sarawak.
Anyway those enjoying the facilities in Klang Valley are mostly foreign worker and expats.

As same as Astro, those dishes and the equipment does not come cheap and poor people will never afford it. Anyway I think they close eyes on the dishes as they could not (or maybe do not want) afford to spend on infra in Sarawak.

About the dish get rusty, it highly depends on the environment of the dish too.
I've been using Astro 65cm dish since 2014, so far so good, no rust.

But then, if it does rust until the point where the dish surface become like "bubbled" and goes out of shape, signal reception will be affected. If it is just the surface that is rusty, it is still fine. However, better you spray paint to prevent it from further rusting.

You'll be surprised by how many households in Central Perak that are still watching analog terrestrial TV. I do antenna installations and have been to the deep central Perak, and they are all genuinely surprised and pleased with the introduction of digital terrestrial TV.

Besides the forthcoming Caya TV, looks like another channel Syok TV coming soon as well, which is being promised by Afdlin Shauki to provide one-button TV shopping. Should be interesting to see how this is implemented
