Finally got the access to the second mux.

Transport stream analyzer:

First mux;

Top missing service name is TVAH.

Second mux;

Top missing service name is TV1 HD.

Interestingly, MYTV increased radio stations bitrate from 32kbps to 110kbps.

Indeed, there is still room for increasing the bitrate.
Last time, the total bitrate for first mux is around 30-33Mbps.

Maybe some is reserved for 8TV HD?

Still lose to Astro HD channels with 8 - 10Mbps..........

I heard that more tv channels will be added beginning 18 may. Still rumors though...

I dropped my Astro subscription 2 years ago when I still using a 1080p TV and they were still using MPEG-2 compression

I heard there were plans to switch to MPEG-4 but I dunno if it has been implemented since...

I believe myFreeview is using MPEG-4 compression right? Can achieve similar or better quality on lower bandwidth

I am on a 4K TV now, and the RTM HD channels look pretty good. It's nowhere near as good as what's available on Netflix or YouTube (definitely no need to compare to physical media), but as far as I can see the RTM channels look far better than the Media Prima channels, and can be considered boleh lah as far as I can see

Of course I don't watch TV.. just fooling around with myFreeview for curiosity value only. The only channel I tune to is BNC, and it's still in standard definition...

only can get channels from MUX1,  other MUX2 RTM HD and RTM related tv and radio channels, all cannot detect until now. was using official mytv decoder.

Original MYTV combo S2 T2 STB, does it come with bisskey, cccam, powervu etc functions? $

I think that dish is same as Astro's, just with different logo. Should be compatable with Astro/NJOI. I am not sure.

Frequency for manual tuning (Southern Johor area)
CH29/538MHz - Channel 5, Suria
CH31/554MHz - Channel 8, Vasantham
CH33/570MHz - CNA, Channel U
CH47/682MHz - MYTV MUX 1 (Media Prima channels, TV Alhijrah, BNC)
CH49/698MHz - MYTV MUX 2 (RTM TV and Radio)

CH47/682MHz and CH49/698MHz is harder to tune in some parts of Southern Johor due to interference from analogue signals from Batam. You may need to use CH30/546MHz and CH 52/722MHz instead of CH47/682MHz and CH49/698MHz if you live in northern Johor.

It is recommended to use outdoor UHF antenna perfectly aligned to Bukit Batok transmitter to perform tuning for Mediacorp channels. Indoor antenna will give variable results and can only be used within Johor Bahru area, and require careful antenna positioning. To ensure smooth reception, signal strength and quality should be higher than 75%.

I am unable to tune to MUX 2 via my PCIe DVB-T2 capture card.
Anyone has the exact Frequency and SID for each channel of MUX 2?

Able to tune to MUX 1 perfectly, but not MUX 2....
