QUOTE(cgamer @ Nov 25 2018, 12:53 PM) Recently just bought DVB-T2 box, it able to search all 13 channel. However, here is the thing, the number shown are like 101 is TV3HD, 102 is RTMHD, try to go program edit, to make it like 001 is TV1, 002 is TV2, 003 is TV3... but, fail to do. Not sure is TVBOX function or need update the firmware. By the way, anyone have any firmware site for upgrade? if i cut off the unit from the main power supply, the program sequence will reset to default

QUOTE(shaun_kok @ Dec 3 2018, 01:07 AM) The tonton transmission for TV3 must had been stopped for a while. Enjoy full HD transmission on tonton (for both audio and video) that is better than DTT while it lasts. It was still max 720p/2128kbps when I checked on last Friday. The transmission for 8TV and CJ WOW SHOP was stopped for a while and when the official livestream resume later, the full HD option had gone. Only 240p/480p/720p option remains (which is their official stream quality selection) i think our crappy broadband by TM can't handle such heavy traffic. imagine the whole nation streaming at 4K... you wouldn't want that. in my area, whenever microsoft launches a windows update, the whole neighborhood internet will slow to a crawl. QUOTE(shaun_kok @ Apr 1 2019, 02:11 AM) If RTM channels are gone please retune as all have moved to MUX 2. Retune only if these RTM SD channels are missing. QUOTE(shaun_kok @ Apr 1 2019, 08:10 AM) Try tuning to Channel 49 (698MHz), which is MYTV's MUX 2 frequency in your area, which now carries all RTM TV and Radio channels. Mux 1 is on Channel 47 (682MHz), which carries non RTM channels. Sorry, noob here. I follow the guide here previously when I first got my box months ago: http://mytvdvb-t2.blogspot.com/2017/01/car...pan-signal.htmlWhat's the meaning of retune to mux 2? New frequency and bandwidth? My location is selangor. Will need to tune for my family in Kuching sarawak later too This post has been edited by Skylinestar: Apr 1 2019, 10:31 AM

My dad says his Sony X7000E tv can receive RTM channels but not 8TV. However, the myfreeview TV box can receive all channels. Already re-scan a few times on the Sony TV but still the same. Any reason why? Antenna is the same. Location is Kuching.

QUOTE(izz70 @ Apr 5 2019, 04:58 PM) Your dad needs to retune or rescan the channels. Ask him to try digital auto tuning .. also depends on what antenna he is using. If internal antenna then need realignment Already re-scan. Maybe tv has higher receive threshold?

Before transformation to RTM HD, my tv reception (as view on my DVB-T2 box) is approx 90%. After transformation, it's now approx 60%. Why such a significant drop? I'm using external antenna with 20 plus elements.

QUOTE(YoungMan @ May 2 2019, 07:43 PM) For household with broadband, IPTV will be the best. Household without broadband, get NJOI. end of story. MYTV is gonna be performing badly as of now. The expectation here is asalkan ada, cukuplah. my njoi box died after a year. thank god there's DVB-T2 now

QUOTE(work_tgr @ Jun 6 2019, 07:26 PM) It is very common choice of watch movies, shows and dramas via internet especially for young generations through their hp and notebooks. because they have not experienced serious network failure. remember how phone makers were bashed for not having FM radio function in smartphones when hurricane struck? even in my house, i have both windows and linux PC for redundancy. QUOTE(alesi616 @ Jun 28 2019, 02:49 PM) hi sifu-sifu, Currently my old samsung plasma tv (bought year 2012) is plugged to the living room's antenna port (staying in condominium). How should I setup the digital tuner tv? Is it I got 2 choice? 1. If my plasma tv has build-in DVB-T2 digital tuner (which I'm not sure, not to check?), I just need to buy a small UHF antenna and plug to the Tv's antenna port. 2. If my plasma tv doesn't has DVB-T2 tuner, I need to buy the myFreeview tuner box (cost rm299) and plug that tuner box's cable to my living room's antenna port. Correct ah ? does your condo have UHF antenna? if yes, u just need to re-tune the tv channels if no, u follow your listed 2 choices. very unlikely 2012 plasma tv has dvb-t2. My tv reception stutters once a while, like once every 3 minutes. The signal quality is good, more than 80 percent. Is this my tvbox problem? It was fine last time.

The tower is on the opposite side of my house. Lazy to climb up to the rooftop to install mast and antenna. End up just put it at the car porch with cloth hanger, despite 180° opposite direction. (Tried rotating 180° and it seems to make no difference) On my china tvbox, 80% strength at 698MHz. On Hisense TV, 50%. Silky smooth though. Poorfag installation. Free from weather extreme.
