►►Yamaha XJ6 Diversion Rider Club◄◄
Hope its not too early to create this club smile.gif tongue.gif

Escape the ordinary

No matter whether you’re a new or experienced rider, the XJ6 Diversion has the quality to ensure every ride is filled with enjoyment and satisfaction.

From the lightweight cast wheels that keep unsprung weight low to the 41 mm front forks and monocross rear suspension that deliver impressive roadholding, this is a superior all-rounder. The 600cc liquid-cooled 4-cylinder engine produces effortless fun performance, especially at low revs, while an ABS option means responsive brakes are at your fingertips.

The XJ6 lets you appreciate your journey: adjustable handlebars guarantee a comfortable riding position and a half-fairing protects you from wind and other elements.
Details

600cc fuel-injected 4-cylinder engine
Superb handling and easy braking
Lightweight cast wheels

Easy-to-handle power delivery
A great all-round performer
Available with ABS

Just call and confirm with HongLeong Yamaha . They are launching it this week. Should be tomorrow.

what?? they want to UP the price?
demn..the price seem nice as 600cc 4 inline engine.same as zx6r.
but price cheaper..as 30bhp in power lower than zx6r.
40K seem nice already.if 60k..zzz

Hey all!

Just the right timing for the bike to come out coz I'm planning to get my first big bike before end of July. I was eyeing the ER6F but now that this one is just launched, thought I'd compare it. So besides the vroom sound is there any reason why I should fork out another 8k for this bike? Besides the ER6F just looks a tad better and is suffice to service my needs.

But what does it mean to the user? Like a more practical answer la. I really like the vroom factor but don't know if it is worth adding another 8k. And I read to make it vroom sound must fork out another few thousand because the original exhaust is silenced. Have you seen the pics? But I guess must go and see myself la. Hopefully get to see by next 2 weekends. Does the 4 in line mean that it gives better speed? Better fuel efficiency? One extra factor I liked was that it has 17 L compared to ER6F's 15.5L fuel tank.

sure its worth the 8k bro smile.gif ..

before this bike...cheapest 4 inline is kawa z750 @ rm58k ..
now xj6 @ rm41K ..

for me the sound is important..i dont want my 30-40k bike sound like ex5 with loud pipe smile.gif

to save extra few K . u can debaffle the ori pipe to sound nicer..

if u take from kapar motor...

full settlement within 3month 0% interest.
IF u take 4 year shop loan but setllte 1 year..the remaining 3 year interest free..but if from shop 9%

if take from bank i think around 4.5-5%.

if u take from bank 5% . deposit rm20K .
loan 21k + interest rm1050 .
monthly will be. rm1837.5

limited stock..that y easy habis. yamaha scare..so they produce sikit test market response i guess.

no la definitely not brand new. 2nd hand but good condition.

since mok motor offers 53k for a brand new 08 model, should be fine. but for me i'd rather pay a little bit extra for latest model smile.gif

Any XJ6 rider here?
I'm planning to get an inline 4 bike which is why I came about this bike.
But thinking again regarding the price. It seems like the ER6F is much worth the value for a full fairing bike with similar horsepower.

Another thing is that, if I can wait a little longer then I'll just get a Z750 with more power and better in almost everything..

Any suggestion?

Of coz z750 is better . But price also higher .

But i dont agree er6f better . 2piston more vibrate when idling and for me the most important part is sound .
Er6n or er6f sound like ex5 with mod exhaust smile.gif

Yes, valve issue is like fire cracker sound when u let go your throttle when down shifting for example. I just got my ER6N fixed (free for the parts) last Sunday. It applies to all ER6 family bikes (i.e ER6F, Versys 650). Kawasaki is happily fixing it for free. But it will require a new engine run in. They provide free checkups (i.e tire, brakes and etc) except for the engine oil....

I do have my eye on xj6. I had not ride one of those xj6, but it's slightly lower seat height by an inch compared with ER6. I love those 4 cylinder sound.

Naked bike is very nice for street ride, long distance touring on road trips, my experience on i.e anything above 135kmph is going to be tiring as hell. I do hear xj6 is a smoother ride as well and less vibration.

Bro, vibration is it common on this 600cc bikes? I tested the ER6N and the vibration is quite strong. The torque is super strong. My current 2 stroke 150 does not the vibrate at all, maybe cc too small.

Only for ER6N bro. I heard inline 4 are smooth all the way. Have you tried XJ6 ones ? I haven't really tried XJ6 one. So far i tested my friend's Z800 inline 4. Super smooth indeed ( i have no love for the heaviness and riding position, back pain if long hours of riding) tongue.gif

All the cars you mentioned no issue at all... Don't even need to drop gear.. I think by smooth he means the power delivery very linear.

Owning an ER6 is a great experience. My background was from a kapchai. ER6 was a big of learning curve for me. Body positioning, cornering, and having the balls to lean on a curvy roads.

A few items to convince me to get Diversion:

I love inline 4's exhaust sound.
I love smooth handling.
I wanna try a bike with a fairing.
I want comfort and slightly lower seating position for my short legs.
I love casual long distance rides from PJ to Cyberjaya and going nowhere in Cyberjaya/Putrajaya on my Sundays.

Mine diversion . If you prefer touring you should take versys . If you like the sound . Then xj6 is a good choice .. If you look for performance . Er6 n xj6 i think almost the same . Too speed er6n might be faster ..

Yep, touring better go for versys. Xj6 had slight forward lean which is uncomfortable for long continuous journey.

just wondering... how do you pump air for your front tyre? I can't seem to get the hose into the valve cos the brake discs are in the way.

Ignore this question. I think it's a try and error thing. I'll stick with authorized dealers service centre for now. smile.gif

Just get my XJ6 Diversion F today. I really really love the handling and smoothness of the bike. thumbup.gif

So light and nimble. Lovely bike. I was never this excited and happy when I own my previous ER6N smile.gif

Yamaha does know how to make bikes biggrin.gif

The bike is super heavy for me. Not too easy to reverse unless I get off and push. Gotta hit the gym and do arm and upper body exercises lah! biggrin.gif

You can settle with what way you can do for now. You'll get used to it eventually. My leg is short too, i'm 164cm, with a 30inch in seam. So normally i push my bike to reverse it. I'm kinda like doing it nowadays coz i have more connection with my bike. biggrin.gif

You don't really have to go to gym actually. Also never muscle against your power horse. That's the mistake I did last time. My friend said something that makes sense to me. Learn to be your power horse's good friend.

For me, it's really really nimble and light like riding my wife's Honda wave kapchai lightness (that's my personal experience). The center of gravity is really low which is friendlier to handle for beginners. Smooth like butter.

My former bike er6n, the centre gravity is high, which makes me easier to jatuh bodoh (dropped my bike 3 times need some good leg strength). With full tank petrol it's 210-220 kg worth of weight. Wonder why a 650cc bike can weight like a litre bike.... laugh.gif

You have a centre stand on the XJ? The FZ doesn't come with a centre stand.

Yes, but only for the Diversion and Diversion F bikes. The naked version only have a side stand.

if mainly use for touring go for versys (fully upright riding, relaxed)
If spirited riding go diversion (slight forward lean)
