Is the network on EDGE or 3G?

If EDGE, then it's quite enough for email checking, BBM and other stuff. But not fast for internet surfing.

depends on the BIS plan/telco you subscribe... If the quota is 3GB then max 3GB.

Tunetalk is UNLIMITED, yes, no quota but only for BIS. If you stream youtube or use as a modem (tethering) it is not included in BIS, will charge extra.

Surfing, facebook, twitter and most apps are under BIS.

Hmm I read in tunetalk website we can register for our desired number first, then visit dealers to take the sim card. But there are so many dealers out there, will they make the sim card on the spot or what?

I don't understand sad.gif

Why need to headache and go understand so further about registration.

Just go to their website. Click "sign up", fill the form, choose the available number. After done, print out or save a copy of your registration. Then go to their dealer listed on their site: http://www.tunetalk.com/dealers
Show the dealer your registration copy. Walla...U got a tunetalk sim with your register number....easy la..why need to think so much. Try it and see lo..Talk talk too much no boring meh...I look also boring ...haiz shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

And to those who said whatsapp is not included. I had tested and confirm it support Whatsapp, UberSocial

Sim card clarification - register at TuneTalk website ( all personal particulars ), pick up desire mobile number. Next, find a nearest dealer from yr place.

Before that, print out the receipt from the website. It contains som ID and Serial MAC whatever you called that. Upon the shop, show the receipt and pay the processing fee RM5 you'll get a new simpack and there's ZERO activation via handheld ! Damn easy

*Doubt : Ok, every new sim card is empty, once they key in numbers and stuff; then you'll get yrs number simultaneously. Isn't that amazing ?

My xperience - fill in my parti's, pick up a new number, print out the receipt, go to my nearest dealer spot, hand in the receipt, get a parking (was double parking biggrin.gif ), wait bout 10 mins, get my new sim, try on my BB, and it works just like that. I called to their CS centre after I subscribed BIS cos the sim wasn't a BIS-ready one so I was told to wait within 24-hr, and it was like few hrs my EDGE is on !

Wow nice one. I will get mine then.

EDIT: I just went to a shop near my house (under dealer list) but they tell me they don't do this, I can only buy new simpacks from there but not choose my number...

Any authorised tunetalk reseller in KL area? like tunetalk center or what. I'm living in pandan indah.

how does it compare with whatever telco that you used with your BB before tunetalk? and coverage similar to celcom or not, since they use celcom's network and 49% owned by celcom?

thinking of buying a few for my family member and staff.

As a digi user at Melaka, I noticed the 3G BIS coverage is very good. At my place, digi 3G BIS is a bit weak. I will get disconnect from BIS from time to time.
With Tunetalk under Clecom 3G BIS, no such thing happen. I got full 3G bar whilst Digi only got like 1 to 2 bar.

You search using the last four digit, then the website will display a list of numbers, then you choose from the list... Some last 4 digits are not available, depends on your luck.

BTW number change is free within 48 hours after SIM activation, after 48 hours it will be charged RM5 per change.
