Hi guys! I'm a heavy bass listener here, and just recently i found out about the ATH M50s.. Was contemplating on getting these or the Sony MDR XB700s.. of which I chose the XBs ^^; ... anyway, the price gap was wayyy too far..

At first i thought the M50s were like normal everyday studio monitors.. like, it doesnt provide the amount of bass i need! but after watching tons of utube, found out that these pump awesome bass! now i already regret sad.gif

I think I'll save up some more to get those M50s. Any owners here? can u tell me about the bass?

AD series is very comfortable, no complaint about it
as for the pro5mk2, i suppose you already tried it, yes? for me, its one bassy headphone, not my cup of tea
up the budget a bit for M50, better performer
*
eh whaddaya mean up the budget? isnt mk2 more expensive than M50s? at least thats what i see on amazon~

btw, anybody know where can go test ATH headphones aa? my friend told me theres a place near the curve cinneleisure, the whole outlet can test so many types of headphoness...

Yup, happen to me when I use Pro700mk2(which is bassy) for more than 2-3 hours. I think we call this phenomena as listening fatigue?

I m not a basshead & eyeing for ath-m50. Worry if d bass too heavy. Am using Ms1i currently. Is m50 bass heavier? Thx
*
i tried them at jaben. i am a giler basshead and i dont find the bass for the 50s suffiecient for me brows.gif got bass, but not that kind of seismic bass la~

QUOTE(syazani43 @ Apr 21 2012, 12:23 AM)
i just got my PRO700MK2,...i read review says that m50 ear pad is more comfortable than PRO700MK2, is that right? do malaysia shops like jaben sell these m50 ear pad?
*
alamakk... thats my dream headphoneeee! please review laa.. they say bass kaw2.. but what i'd say about the pads are that they are small and dont cover your ears perfectly.. the ath m50 pads are a lot bigger and comfortable..

i'm actually still newbie in audiophiles since this my first high end headphone, dunno how to make review like other did, need imagine how sound of the mid, high, bass blablabla....
but yeah, bass will be really kaw2 after complete burn in, enough to shake ur head, at first when im wearing these headphone, feel so uncomfortable because these pad are really tight make my ear sakit. now feel a bit betterĀ  nod.gif
*
i can understand the clamping force.. everyones been complaining about it. but having tried the m50 before, id say the ear pads are bigger than what we actually see on screen. i was like, whoaa so big aaa? but not clown big la, big enough to cover all the ears.. plus those pads provide some space between the ear and the drivers where as i heard the pro700mk2 pads are thin enough for the ears and the drivers to touch each other sad.gif real pain in the ears mann if like that.. anyway, just stretch them over the box which came with it and the clamping should lessen a bit~

EDIT: omg what the heckk.. our avvie almost the same rclxms.gif

haha, yup, the drivers are pressed my ears. can't wear this headphone too long  shakehead.gif
inb4 my first target to get Sony MDR-XB700, unfortunately this headphone no longer in stock because of thailand floods disaster but nvm these PRO700MK2 is rocking!! just lack of comfort.
*
lol so i guess thats why even the mdr xb1000 production has halted~ i got my pair for only $70. but compare the price with pro700mk2, not even half the price la sweat.gif but damn la.. last time got some place selling for only $130.. now jump to $160++ already sweat.gif
