haha not sure if hongrui got mention me to you before, but he knows the music i listen to, and it isnt EXACTLY that bass focused. i tend to emphasize it a lot over this forum because almost everyone here just emphasize towards clarity, and it can be annoying if i want something different.
*
actually i'm looking forward to hearing your setup this weekend. cause i heard the peak before and i do not like its dry signature.

everyone has their own sonic preference and we all have different assumptions on what exactly is neutral. so what is properly reproduced bass to me is just insufficient to you. what i call bassy might be neutral to you.

driven/driven by dry amps, so most people tend to use tube amps, to add coloration (one of the main purposes of amps mind you)
*
some would argue that amps / DACs that add coloration are poorly designed. amps should be nothing more than "wire with gain" and even more so DACs, which would be just a plain "wire with no gain".

me personally i like musicality and lushness so amps with colors are fine, as long as its not too badly colored or too much.

I personally think that, if headphone without any coloration, would be a bit boring?

just my preference.
*
well... that are some that strive for absolute neutrality and transparency. absolute neutrality and transparency will allow you to listen to the recording exactly as how the recording artist intended it to be.

actually, hi-fi = high fidelity = high accuracy. so to some, adding coloration is not the purpose of hi-fi. if you want to be picky, adding color on purpose = lo-fi.

1k hours... that's 42 days non-stop!! Will the drivers even survive that??!
*
why not? i have headphones that i stopped only after 1500hrs. as long as you're burning at a reasonable volume and not abusing the drivers, its will be okay.
