I guess just for start only. If you try with yamamoto sure lagi kena hehe...but if you mention ad1000prm is good then W11JPN will defenitely make you goose bump hehe you may cry went listen a very emotional music like celine dion-all by myself. This is proven that ad1000prm is very coloring headphone. We had a change to meet. I guess I will see in penang hehe. I'm planning my schedule to visit jaben penang as well as meet all member in penang. So penang members gather all folks. We from KL team coming to Penang town. smile.gif

M50 is a monitoring headphone if you use direct to a hardware like studio mixer it will not need an amp but if you use fir pmp/cdp this is really need of it. You can try out some amp. But this model is doesn't really need a very hungry power amp. So just get a portable amp will help you to improve the sound quality.

Lol is actually does mean is more tube is good. But seriously more the pairing are looking for. The one I had is the lowest/most budget Darkvoice amp called FIGARO. Went actually the stock tube does't bring up the vocal much and now is bring up certain aspect after change tube and so on inside circuit stuff. This model is use two tube only and is internal instead of external/expose version of darkvoice u seen in market. This model is jusdt a short period production which is no longer they doing it. Darkvoice is change their name to LA FIGARO. I guess lowest model is 332 series. This is a nice budget amp which is below 1k. The AT headphone model : AD700, it change the signature went you use this amp.

simply because of price vs performance, and yes, AFAIK most, if not all of audio technica lineups are indeed from japan, which of course, means expensive stuff, even for the entry level, which may or may not justify their pricing. to put it simply, there are potentially better brands out there than audio technica for the entry levels.
