Darksiders II follows the exploits of Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, in a weaving tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This epic journey propels Death through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother War, the horseman who was blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.
Featuring a dramatically larger world, full weapon and armor upgrade systems as well as bigger and more challenging dungeons and vast array of new enemies and bosses, Darksiders II strives to improve on every aspect of the original hit.

THQ confirmed it will ship Darksiders II in 2012 for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The lead character this time is Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, while the story runs parallel to the original Darksiders.

"This epic journey propels Death through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother War, the horseman who was blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders," THQ said of the game's story.

Darksiders II features a "dramatically larger world" than the original, full weapon and armor upgrade systems, and "bigger and more challenging dungeons."

"We have taken the best parts of Darksiders and improved on them with a host of new mechanics and features. You will see great things from this epic game," said Danny Bilson, Executive Vice President of Core Games.

Game Informer magazine has the first, official look at Death in its upcoming July issue.

in the digital comic that came with my copy of darksider1 it illustrates Death cannot be killed. This may somewhat make the game less challenging LOL.

Nice, I have been looking forward to play a game like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night which combines both action and RPG again but there is very little choice available (no, Diablo and clones doesn't count and don't even mention Diablo 3). I just hope they got a epic storyline, character development and equally epic misic scores to go with the game.

Now I just want them to release the game and Dark Millenium Online.

2012 has alot of interesting games.. hopefully the PC version won't be delayed and could see a concurrent release for all platforms.  Hopefully they do justice to PC version this time around.. but i doubt it.

Saw some high resolution screenshots. The game really looks sweet. Hope that is the graphics will see in PC version.

wondering if that flower monster is mid boss (like the prison warden in Darksider1) or stage boss...
