Sure but subject to TnC, you are generally not qualified for those "big gifts".

For example, Public Bank is giving out some luggage bags to all New-to-Bank Credit Card members (https://www.pbebank.com/Personal-Banking/Promo/Promo/Apply-for-PB-Card-Now-and-Get-Complimentary-Gift-a.aspx). If you are an existing PB principal cardholder, the sales representatives at CC booths may still give you some free water bottle/umbrella etc, but the incentives are definitely lesser than those New-to-Bank CC campaigns (you can actually try to negotiate with the sales rep at booth, sometimes they might also give you gifts for applying a Supp card through them).
