To promoted 8% cash back credit card - HSBC Amanah Mpower Visa Platinum Credit Card-i

I received my Maybankard Petronas Visa Platinum from Maybankard Centre (The Gardens Mall) within 1.5 hours.

Is this card useful? May I know what is your purpose spend for this card??

Before hold MBB2 cards, I have used MBB Petronas for every single spend and that time Petrol is x5, but now is x8 right?

Is this good to be spend in Petrol for weekdays? But weekends for MBB2 AMEX??

I've given my reasons under the General CC thread why I chose this card.

They are promoting the SCB Business Platinum and Gold. Am surprise they still try to sell their credit card when they are going to withdraw the said benefits like reward points and cashback.

I believe the Free Gift is not "sure-dapat"....

hi.. the booth for ocbc credit card application is it like maybank or citibank which I can get it/approved within 1 hour?

Seem like this event is about school holiday roadshow by Maybank, but they are also promoting their credit cards which MBB 2 cards, Petronas credit card & MU card

For OCBC booth, I'm not sure The curve there is a booth or kiosk, quite big one... But I have saw they have been there few times, sometime move in for a week sometime move out, uncertain timely.

The free Touch & Go and Smart Tag from Standard Chartered is a complicated member-get-member program as per link below:

[EDIT] There is also an activation campaign for Business Gold or Business Platinum cards via Direct Sales or Bank Branches that I've missed out. Please note that RM300 cash back is not entitled for these sales channels.

From their T&C:

Successful Eligible Customers who:
(a) take up either the Business Gold or the Business Platinum Credit Card, via the Bank’s direct sales agencies or the Bank’s branches, as principal cardholders; and
(b) call the Bank’s Contact Centre to activate their approved credit card (as described in the credit card Welcome Pack) within 30 days from the date of the Welcome Pack but in any case before 28 February 2013;
will further be entitled to Acquisition Gifts of EITHER ONE of the following options selected at point of application.
(i) One unit of SmartTAG valued at RM120 (without Touch 'n Go card) OR
(ii) One unit of Touch 'n Go Card with preloaded value of RM100.

In the case of Successful Eligible Customers who reside in East Malaysia (based on the residential address provided during the credit card application), they will be entitled to select EITHER:
(i) cashback of RM80 (to be credited within 60 days from the month in which the card was activated); OR
