I heard the iPad dosn't have Alarm Clock or Calculator built in natively?

Why is this so ?? cool2.gif

Sure, there's 3rd party apps but why did apple even remove it?
Even oldest and dumbest smartphones had an alarm clock & calculator...

Are there any other apps the iPad is missing from the iPhone?

because if its default in the OS then its not removable, and when you said clock and calc should be in, then alot of things should be in too, and when alot of them are in, the 16GB version of ipad will be full easily.

and its not difficult to install them, i prefer they reduce as many junk as possible from the ipad, and yes calc and clock seems junk to me, just allows user to customize the device to their style, should not limit them what must be in and what mustnt.

That's correct... that's why they're called "smartphones" and not "tablets". rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

I really don't see the point of a clock application on the ipad since I'm never going to use it as an alarm clock. My phone works much better. And I don't need a big clock display, I have a watch smile.gif

And I also won't need a calculator on the ipad because I don't use calculators much at all biggrin.gif And the times I need one I'm usually on my laptop.

So yea, I actually find it a good thing that Apple didn't include them as standard apps (there are a few of these apps right now that I really like to remove).

iPad as calculator? Why would u want that? It is huge! I got 1 installed in case I need it, CalcBot. For alarm, don't bother as u might accidentally knock the iPad from the side table in the morning.
