There's two versions of Saga LMST:-

1st Batch - Blue, Red, Black, Gold (Sold at MYR37k - Build quality not so good, things fall apart easily)
2nd Batch (Merdeka Edition Type) - Orange & Black - Build quality better, more durable features, nicer tachometer design
Cheapskate Batch - Silver - No power windows, black background tachometer, considered low spec

For your car, year 2005, milage only 40k? Unbeliavable... Means the car only run about 7k per year. If KL numberplate, means the workshop sure did nonsense to the car... Try finding year 2007 / 2008 model bro. It's just a few thousand extra, better quality.

but nowday 300 buck to reset the digital millage servise available so be careful
gearbox problem , check for load dog box noise when cruising , crunk noise when entering gear and gear bouncing of the position when moving
thy alot at 3rd and 5th gear since mitsu's weak point of gb is this two gear
try look around for uneven paint since my logic in buying a car is to look for an accident free chassis , if something looks funny , walk away
yes our 4g1 engine will tend to have knocking but take note when it know on high speed , knock on low speed is normal

Just buy only... IF Possible get a trusted mechanic , probably your dad's friend or something ... bring him down and check the car... you never know... you won't want to buy a car and then spend the next few years of your life repairing it ...

If you do happen to get the lmst which the aircon outlet like the pic u shown ... Please do change it to the new style... Saga BLM 2 fin that kind... Air con much cooler ... lesser rattling sound from your dashboard ...

Need to see the car in person or at least more photos to judge better lor...
End of the day, if you like the car, you don't smell or feel something fishy, then can consider to buy already.
Also, since your thoughts will be biased when seeing the car, bring a friend who is neutral and knows cars well so that he can give you constructive feedback.

If you're picky, then definately it will take some time to find a really really mint condition car.
Even myself, took me 1 year to find a 2nd hand LMST I feel like buying, but it's a gem.
(Dec 2007 model, 20000km, full service records, old aunty driver - 55 years old @ RM18k, 5 year warranty)

Taking into consideration that most people on average drive their car about 10000 - 15000 km per year, the cars you will be seeing would have run milage of 40000 - 60000. (If year 2007 / 2008). Also, if they run low milage, but tak jaga the kereta, always park under the sun, you will see the car's exterior & interior, rubber parts, all starting to fade off dy... Sure this will make you potong stim one!

If you have the budget (you're working) and would prefer having a bigger car with higher costs (as a trade-off), you should look into 2008 / 2009 onwards Proton:-
1) Proton Waja 1.6 CPS (M) - Don't get auto because underpowered and 4 speed gearbox, consume more petrol
Selling around RM35k - RM45k
2) Proton Saga BLM 1.3 SE (M) - Can get around RM30k or lower

Patience bro, good things don't come so easily... Yesterday went to PD, saw quite a new well kept LMST for sale in car dealership... Looks stock standard and 2007 / 2008 model. Guessing it's low milage since small town. Hehehehehe...
Maybe you can take a drive down to PD and scout it out.

usually when i go for alignment, the foreman will adjust the steering wheel also. you just need to open the screw on the bottom of your steering wheel, disconnect the horn and open the nut in the middle with your spanner for the tire's nut. then you can adjust your steering wheel as much as you like. but you will need a straight and quiet road cuz you cant maneuver too much to get the perfect lining.

Ok, set... Once you get the car, remember to join us peksan up to Genting, test your car's "roadworthyness"...

guys, any of u been using X1-R engine treatment on ur car? Does it gives good effect?

My Iswara a/c is blowing indirectly, out from the small vents above the normal big ones. I've set the lever to direct mode but its not working. Anyone know a fix?

You have to manually push all the vents close back again with your hands, and keep the lever at highest.
Also, all the blower holes at the bottom, close with new sponges to redirect the air up.

That's what I did... Although LMST air cond like to leak everywhere, but it's super ice cold.
So this is just a small fix.

use dot 4 la and do complete flush , dot 4 resist heat higher
ur air cond box flap worn out or just cable position jump out

in uk market available with fuel injection unit and some have all round power window and have different dashboard

with all black trimming , subtle front , side and back skirting and availble in silver colour

then in mid year 2003 came along with lmst then final revision is 2007 merdeka edition

does iswara have built in reverse sensor module? i bought mine from ebay (china) and installed myself. not too difficult but routing the wire from the back to the dashboard meter is difficult without removing the seat. mine has led display, showing distance and amber/red warning leds as i get close. i think around RM50 only + diy free but i personally think it's quite difficult to diy, need at least 1/2 day as you need to remove bumper and wire everything up nicely, so if you can get installer to do for you say RM30-50 i'd suggest that. on average I guess reverse sensor should cost about RM100-130 incl. installation.

if matspeed team sure use matspeed cam laa... if other teams should be their own customized spec cam....
1.  get a girl friend

2.  of coz whenever an engine is leaking oil it is not normal... where is it leaking depends on the location of the droplets... in most case, check flywheel oil seal, crank oil seal, oil sump nut, oil filter, etc.... if ur engine is too dirty and cannot locate where the oil seeping out, go and have engine bay wash... after a week check where the oil seeps out from....

3. check the hose/tube connecting the tupperware to ur radiator... change new radiator cap....

it's not complicated the control box has the sockets for the power, monitor/display, and the 2 or 4 sensors. just plug and play! the complicated part is just in routing the wiring the one i'm using is EXACTLY like the one in this video

More than 300? Are you serious? Wow those acc shop really making a fortune! I should also start part time install reverse sensor with lcd display...

belting lose(tighten) or bearing problem....probably air con tention bearing

before doing the fixing...better identify which part produce the sound first
