My friends were discussing about this bladeless tower fan. Look wise : Futuristic, no doubt. Bladeless, makes cleaning becomes easy. Besides that, any other good review, or bad ones? BTW, where can we find this fan? I heard it was sold at Harvey Norman previously. notworthy.gif

Here's the link http://www.dyson.co.uk/store/productFan.as...t=AM02-IRONBLUE

It is overprice product. The mechanism is simple and cheap. Not justify for the price.

By the way I heard it manufacturing in johor factory.

Newsflash... These days there are newer designs of table fans that have very narrow gaps in their blade housings, so chances of a child's finger getting through is nil.

Also, Dyson fans are quite loud. Imagine having a centrifugal blower (like a leaf blower) concentrating all that wind power through a narrow outlet. Having a Dyson in your home might make for good conversation, but you won't be able to have said conversation in front of the Dyson fan without being irritated by the sound LOL...

my friend's baby very itchy finger at 8 months old. his finger can definately go thru the fan gap.

suggested to her to get fan netting from 100yen/daisho to futher make the fan gap smaller.

Very suitable for those who are into design (or safety purpose) but honestly, the fan blowing capacity is very low as compare to conventional blade fan.

try it urself, u will be able to judge the air blow capacity.

I do think it's cheaper and less noisy just to put in nice ceiling fans instead of paying so much premium for a noisy bladeless fan.

Dyson fan was once on my wish list... and it got scratched out, after I saw it at work at a relative's house. Noisy!!

I installed a couple of the kdk baby fans in my house. Though the blades are short, but quite cooling and no noise. Look pretty cute too.

"Copied" version come in many form and shapes, performance wise. Go to some mid range home show, you see many. Go test it out.

1K++ for an original fan, personally I think is really too much, at least for me.

Personally if the space is small then the "power" is enough. But if one got a big space i.e. big living room or big room then better forget about it.

The sound initially could be an issue, but once you got use to it you will not be bothered about it. Similarly like standing fan, sometimes the blade or bearing will gives sound as time goes by which personally I prefer Dyson's sound than those squeaky sound made by circumstances I mentioned on standing fan.

Interested in this air multiplier too. Browsing dyson about the products. Plan to get one in 2nd small living room, impressed by the technology. THose conventional KDK quality has been reduced, bought tall and short stand fan, less than a year has annoying sounds already.
