so is there any conclusion on which is the best performance thumbdrive?
pc fair is just around the corner..i oso need reccomendation..for the 1or2GB version..

yala i know lar... cruzer micro no stock ler... left old stock 2GB RM185 quite pricy.... The new 1GB Cruzer Micro is RM90 for 1GB with U3 smart(tm) technology...

Maybe OT: Tell me, if a USB port happens NOT to be configured to full USB 2.0 480mb/sec, one may not get accurate results testing any pendrive, right or not?.

I remember I had to update my drivers (after WinXP install) in my Centrino laptop to ensure both the ports are hi-speed USB 2.0, otherwise it was somehow defaulted to a lower bandwidth.
Maybe some tests here are probably inaccurate and doesn't reflect the true potential..hmmmm!

Not to say inaccurate. The benchmark result also depend on your system.

man, jz came back frm pc fair...been there at around 1pm then lepak till 7pm then go back..actually is too much ppl at the station during the peak hour so we hang out and drink till 7pm then back...Bought a pendrive compact II....

Write Speed: 24 MB/sec

This is the benchmark of my thumbdrive and the pic of the COmpact II...How is it??? Mine is the green colour line reference...

The result is far too low from the speed that u mention . U are using what system to run the benchmark? I think your thumbdrive is runing with USB 1.1 speed in your system ler.
