Picaday's (This Thread) is created for you guys to share any interesting pictures that you snap daily and also for those who don't have a thread @ Photo Gallery due to any reason.

Picaday's Rules and Regulations
- No, Picaday is not a place for you to spam or increase your post count. Picaday's main objective is to encourage more people to post their pictures here and share knowledge among each other.

Yes. I can feel it too. The nothingness came from the pics. BTW TQ cause commented on my shot. I appreciated it.
Still in learning time.

AFAIK, never put the horizontal line(between land and sky) at the middle of the pic.. try to apply the rule of third, by that way you will focus either on land or sky.
Im still learning too..

May I know how you get that creamy flowing effect of the water?

Long exposure (long shutter time) + ND Filter(optional)

i didn't use a ND filter.. Yes i used long exposure... 1.6seconds.. Because the conditions were bright that time i can't expose too long.

for 'creamy' water, 0.5s is sufficient to achieve the effect..

indeed. however you need to compensate with the light available to you.

Can try using smaller aperture to compensate the long exposure? Use low ISO as well?

Actually had a couple more frame to attach but Photoshop freeze up trying to align it ... So had to do with this. Maybe because the right side, wrong exposure, too dark photoshop cant align it. Much like autofocus in dark .. lol.

wanna know how to you make your own stamp on the photo?
i don't have a photoshop though....any other program does that?

I use a free program called Photoscape for my watermark purposes.

yup i compensate with either aperture, exposure bias or ISO.. but have to do it early in the morning.. approaching noon no matter how i compensate it will be too bright...

does it distort or change the image resolution?
some website suggested powerpoint, but the image is downgraded severly....

i said, 0.5s is sufficient.. but it also doesn't mean that the longer the exposure the better, you will just introduce more movement in other elements apart from the water to be recorded ie. shrubs movement, grass swaying in the wind etc. At the end of the day, its up to how you want your end image to look like.

photoscape doesnt change the resolution if you know what settings you are changing/using. and by the way, its called watermark
