Don't be paranoid. No need to worry. If thief wanna steal car, sure target edi one. Not random one. Just pray that the thief do not harm the driver or passengers of the car. Life more important than car.

Can you explain a bit more about this alternative solution to connex?
*
The model used is the GM600T - IES GPS/GSM. A subsidiary of Cheetah security.

All your usual security features like gsm/gps tracking.... etc.

But what I like is the iPhone app. Can control everything from your iPhone. All the system needs is a prepaid simcard. The whole system costs under RM2500 (nego).

Must point out that this system has no call center. You are the call center. icon_idea.gif Direct to you. Control in your hands.

More info:
http://www.caralarm.com.my/ies_gps.asp?vd=gm600m.html

Installation within 4 hours. Call in advance for appointment.

IES might be a cheaper solution but i think most city owners would be afraid as installation of such products would definitely void the car warranty?
*
Not sure about warranty. But I guess void warranty better than losing a RM90K car? icon_idea.gif

Weirdest thing just happened earlier. Just replaced my horn to Bosch horn few days ago. Then just now, I full press for few seconds then suddenly no sound. Fine, thought horn fuse burn or wiring not good.

But this also affected my gear shift. I can start my car, but can't shift from P to D. I had to remove the shift release cap, and release the gear manually with a key.

Anyone came across this prob? Is it just a fuse problem?

- tyre changing kits gone
- belongings inside the car gone (except umbrella & CD which is still inside CD slot)

my little red book also gone missing, will that be a problem when I go service next time?

the thief changed the immobilizer and ignition key in my car. I wonder if I can ask Honda to reset everything so that I can use back my old key hmm.gif

Still quite a distance from the redline.

Anyone rev until redline here before?

For our city, 7K is pushing the limits. 6.5K for shift is enough. You go to 7k and you miss shift, you engine will jerk in S mode, hurts the engine.

Hmm. Is there such protection?
I tried to shift to 1st gear when I'm still running at around 30km/h to 40km/h, it still downshift successfully.
The car just jerk to almost a halt and the car behind almost knocked into my car because there is  no brake light.
But I'm tried upshift to 4th gear when I'm running at 40km/h, it will not allow though.
*
I think the car has its own mind.

Mine happens if I drag in 7k too long. If i dont shift, confirm engine jerk.

I installed STP hood solution last week.

Added on July 16, 2011, 10:39 pmI also got these 2 installed this afternoon.

It sure makes a whole lot of difference while cornering. Steering much lighter and less body roll. Easy to maneuver car.

Before this, I only had front strut bar and rear anti-roll bar.

What's the use of the hood solution? Does it eliminate engine noise?

I'm thinking of the UR bar too but I'm afraid it will increase the body weight and increase fuel consumption.
*
Yeap, engine much more slient. Stock there is barely any sound insulation. I am gonna take photo of the hood tomorrow morning.

Well, the bars sure contribute a certain amount of weight. Not too concerned about FC since I am running 17" rims.

Btw, i tho the steering will be much heavier and more responsive than previously. How come much lighter?  hmm.gif
*
For me it feels that way. I think suspension, rims and tyres also play a difference. I dont think we running same configuration.

Hi guys,

Need some advise from those who have the rear Spoiler installed on your NHC, especially the duck tail Spoiler (Modulo).
I wonder how is the Spoiler secured on the boot?? hmm.gif
*
Most need 2 bolts and nuts to secure + double sided PE tape. Some opt for just tape

QUOTE(franson @ Jul 19 2011, 09:41 PM)
It's better to spend money on ron97 or fully synthetic? I just filled a tank of ron97. The car is like full of spirit!
*
Full synthetic is term commonly used for engine oil. Not for fuel or petrol.

Google about it.

paddle shift is the manual gear shift on the steering right ?
since im kinda noob in this ?
do you think by using that is faster in terms of acceleration ?
cause im not used to it,i still feel normal D mode and down the paddle is faster then manual ?
LOL correct me if im wrong thanks
*
In D, I'd say the car would technically shift at the most optimum RPM.

However, D is more like an eco mode. So, shifts very fast even when you floor the paddle.

If you use the paddle shifts in S mode, you can drag at higher rpm then only shift. I'd say manual shifting in S mode will yield better speed vs auto in D mode.

Haha yeah installed Front Strut Bar and i could feeel the difference in handling already. Steering feels stiffer . However, i have to install ARB as well because it just dont feel right when the front is stiffer and the back still the same.

SengKiat, pls do PM me how much and where u installed the bars k? Thx.
*
I installed both 2 point and 4 point for RM330.

Really makes a lot of difference while cornering.

Before this I had front strut bar and read ARB. Tyre still screams when cornering. But with the 2 n 4 point front lower bars. Massive improvement in handling during corners.

Not afraid to do high speed cornering with the front ARB bars installed.
