hi,
not sure is this the right place to ask, btw,

im looking for my first, and im totally noob, no experience at all about car, and i just got my license today smile.gif
been monitoring car selling website for this 2 month, since my budget is around 50-60k,
end up with this 2 choice. both are second hand car.

1. Honda Jazz 1.5 IDSI (2005)

2. Ford Focus Sport Edition 2.0(2008)

im not the 'racer' type driver, i drive cautiouly, and i care more about the looks before performance :/

so can u guys give me ''general'' pro and con about both car?
thanks alot.

Looks? Depends on what you prefer.

I can tell you the Focus is a good car to drive. Good power, good handling but sux on fuel consumption and maintenance. Maintenance is a killer.

source: I own one.

With hindsight, as a first car, you are better off with a jap car. Cheaper to maintain. Since you just got your licence, I presume you're still quite young, not even working. Please do yourself a favour of not dumping loads of money into a car. smile.gif

btw, im not too young, and already working..

Get a newer version of Jazz that came with 5 speed gearbox instead of CVT. However CVT with iDSi engine will give you a very good FC. Not all CVT has problem. My house got city with CVT gearbox, so far no problem. Just change gearbox oil every 20k.

I am going to get new Jazz for myself. Love the design of Jazz.  wub.gif

biggrin.gif  Aren't you lucky? Just got your license and already getting a car. As an inexperienced driver, I think the car has to be in tip top condition else, if anything happens like breakdowns or anything you be get panicky! My guess is you have already been driving on the road even without licence whistling.gif

I would advise you to get a new car with the same budget like a Myvi, Saga BLM or the likes. Less problems for the first 2 or 3 years. icon_rolleyes.gif
