btw, im not too young, and already working..
so do u think jazz is better for me? or u have other sugesstion with range 50-60k budget?
thanks.
the new jazz u talking about, whats the price range?
yeay spot on there, been a driver without license for the past 3 years.. :/
new myvi and neo cps is on my watchlist also,
thanks for your recommendation..
Oh, cool. If you're already working, it make things a whole lot easier.
I think Jazz is an alright car. But since you are a new driver, maybe you could opt for a smaller sized car? Like a second-hand swift. Maintenance is reasonable, and very easy to park. And it's not a bad looker too. If you don't like the current looks, body-kits are always available.

Side note: Since you just got your licence and would still have your fresh manual driving experience, I think you are better off driving a manual car for a year or two. It really really helps in the long run!

Bro, mind to share the fc and maintenance info of the focus (previous model)?
And ts, i think 60 u can only get 06/08 or the best 07 if im not mistaken. However, focus is a good car. Just worry bout the maintenance compare to honda. If its a slight diff then it shud be fine.

I have the mark 2, not the 2.5 (facelift). I think the drivetrain and the engine is identical between the two.
FC for city drive is about 10.5-11 litres per 100km on RON95. So that makes it somewhere under 10km per litre. Pricey! But my foot's pretty heavy, and the car is very throttle happy, so if you are a slow driver, it will definitely be above 11km per litre mark, I'm sure.
Maintenance is a real killer. For a second hand, be prepared to fork out a few thousand just incase stuff breaks down. Take a standard toyota part, multiply the price by about 3, that would be about right. I've compared my maintenance with some of my other mates who have BMWs, and my maintenance cost per part outstrips theirs. That should give you an indication. That being said, there is a possibility you can get much cheaper parts from third party providers, outside AutoConnexion. Some mechanics like Murali (famous Ford mechanic in Klang Valley) could source you cheaper parts. Personally I've never used him, because up till 2 months ago I was still under warranty so I've always gone back to Auto Connexion.
BTW, if the car is still under warranty, I suggest you don't buy it. Auto Connexion is probably the worst SC I've heard or experienced in my life. Their warranty system is opaque and uncertain - at no point throughout my warranty period have I ever known what is under warranty or what is not. As an example, they guaranteed me that my drive train is under warranty. But a covering gasket blew and when I went back, they charged me 700 bucks for a set of rubber (equivalent of BMW would only cost you about 350-400). When asked that it is covered under warranty, they said "oh this part isn't covered. sorry." I insisted on a list of items covered and not covered, and they refused to give it to me.
Moral of the story: Focus is a brilliant car to drive, seriously brilliant. A driver's car. But maintenance and the crappy SC turned me off completely. I've said this many times in this forum - if my life depended on saying the most honest thing possible, please avoid Fords at all cost - it is simply not worth it.
Thanks.
