I love Stevie G with all my heart, but if someone were to come in with a 50million pound offer, i'd say why not - of course he better be going to some other league.

QUOTE(weichieh007 @ Jun 23 2011, 05:25 PM) It's sad to see more forumers seems to go along the less passionate/ supportive view on the Gerrard discussions. First there was bits of suggestion of stripping his captaincy, then there were pieces of acceptance in selling him to other clubs. Where's the passion mate? its not a matter of not having passion mate, I support Liverpool FC, not Steven Gerrard FC. My passion is for the club, not for a player.but dont be misled, I would never want Stevie G to leave - EVER! (even after retirement) - but tell me u can really say no to a good offer for him. Gerrard has past his prime. But he's still good and have a few more years left in him - (Which makes me doubt that any offer will ever come in for him at his wage). If we can sell him for 30-50million, why not? With that money, we can get good players for the Club, which is a process to achieving success. |

QUOTE(Monstar @ Jul 6 2011, 11:09 AM) I think its because you could offer Jordan a 5 year contract as he is a young player. Downing would most likely get a 3 year contract. From an accounting POV, the annual cost of the signings are very different. not to mention that the possibility of Henderson's price tag going up is more likely to happen compared to Downing.Henderson at 16 million over 5 years is slightly over 3 million a year. Downing at 20 million over 3 years comes up to 6 million a year. That is almost double the accounting cost of Henderson. In absolute terms, this might only be 4 million difference, but from an accounting POV (which would have Financial Fair Play implications), Henderson is half the price of Downing. Of course, this could all change if Downing is offered a 5 year contract, but then, would you wanna offer a player at his peak a 5 year contract and lock in a very high wage? This is most likely Downing last big contract and he would try to milk it as much as he could. |

shitty defending, careless... most of the players looked really frustrated, especially Kuyt.

I feel proud knowing of a group of young boys in Kuching (coz im from kuching). about last year i think i went to a kopitiam with my fellow liverpool fan and watched a match (not too sure against whom, i think Bolton)... the group of young boys, with jerseys (probably fake), and scarves - almost the whole game, literally - sang songs after songs of liverpool, from YNWA, to Torres's song, to the Fields of Anfield Road...
It was kinda noisy... lol... but in my heart, i thought to myself... only Liverpool Fans are this unique. |

QUOTE(bomberkenny @ Jul 15 2011, 12:28 AM) about the man u guy that got stripped, I felt bad for him. Yesterday i went arsenal's game with my liverpool jersey and nothing bad happened to me. I can't imagine if the gunner fans would strip me or tossing verbal abuse to me. simple. U can wear Swansea jersey to Man U game and no problem. coz theres no rivalry. LFC and Arsenal have very minimal rivalry (in comparison with the mancs). |

Great game for malaysia...
Disappointing defending by both teams. Poor goalkeeping from both custodians. MOM = Aqualani and Safee Sali. Btw, how was the scene at the stadium? any songs? i stream live cant hear what people screaming. ahah. |
