Went to proton SC yesterday, checking the unsolved belting screeching sound, then they checked n confirm it's belting tensioner problem, luckily it's under warranty, if not 300+ terbang...

belting system in BLM using single belt 1... 1 long belt for hydrolic, alternator and air-cond compressor... the tensioner is a part for adjusting the tension level.. got few complaint b4 from Gen2 user, that part from our campro engine really fragile 1... worse if the drive drive like me... hehehehe

mine 1 is confirmed got prob wif tensioner bcoz a week b4 i alrdy go change my belting (at outside workshop, not proton) which waste RM115 from my wallet, no changes, still got sound... when i went to proton, i asked 'em how much for belting change, the girl say only RM69... pundek punya bengkel, i kena pow... hehehehehe...

the sound got 2 types 1... i kena both...

1] the cit cit sound during cold start, after a while (1 - 2 minutes the sound gone, back to normal loud campro roaring sound, hehehehe) that 1 i dunno wat the prob...

2] the screeching sound, bad ass version of the cit cit sound, longer tone... that 1, if u're not turn on the air-cond, the sound only came out in 1k - 2k rpm range, above 2k rpm or idling rpm (which is ngam2 1k) no sound come out... if u turn on the air cond, idling also the sound came out until 2k - 2.5k rpm range, higher rpm range the sound hilang alrdy... this 1 got 2 possibility, the cheaper version problem is ur belting kong alrdy, need to change, around RM70 (non-warranty since it's a wear n tear part)... the more expensive version is the belting tensioner prob, can get warranty replacement if still got, if not, prepare RM300++ for replacement... dont go for the cheaper/ciplak coz it may come again unless the cheap part known for the reliability & tahan more than the ori proton part...

Better if the car got full service by proton service centre... Check if the shop provide the service booklet..

last nite manage to go slightly more than 160km/h on kuching's road... but still cannot reach 170... too bad here unlike KL highway...

it's us, the throttle react normally, but when we owez drive hard, we understand the timing/delay, the rev character more... it's like we're sexing wif our car... wahahahaha....

never kena... but as an advice, whenever u face a check-engine-light situation, quickly go to SC... normally check-engine related to combustion, misfiring, unbalance air/fuel.. which can become serious issue... it may be as simple as resetting ECU or to the extend where the stripping off the engine required...

Mayb u kena like me, bushing for lower arm sudah kong.. But normally the prob occure when u hav spoit absorber.. Ur absorber pernah rosak or not b4 dis?

I installed my auto-lock when brake press for RM150 including alarm system & shock sensor...

Mine 1 is non branded china made... The most important factor when i'm choosing alarm is, shock sensor...

The vid above, is it 1.3 or 1.6? I see the rpm distribution not like mine 1.. It rev high but the speed seems slow...
