After launch only know dont have black...

hi guys...i manage to get a test drive on the new sportage few days back and i must say that this car is a bomb....review from costal and highway drive as below....
im so impressed with the features and design etc....took the car for a spin and interior is quiet...but when high rev u do hear the engine screaming to cope with ur foot....but once it gets there u get the silence back again...somehow it feels great even the sound of the engine is not as great to listen to...though i feel there is a lil lag on from abt 50km/h to 110km/h as the car felt like it was not really going...but this could be due to 'not masak' yet so probably engine still 'virgin'...

tested on bumps/potholes and not so bumpy as what i heard from other forums that say that its hard suspension is abit too stiff...its acceptable for me...and of corz stiff means better in terms of cornering....handling was superb as i was taking high speed corners and it was holding on to the road perfectly...of corz since its not like any other cars with good gravity level you will sometimes feel like u are moving from side to side if too sharp corners....owh yea n i tink the tires are pumped up abit high...if the pressure can be reduced im sure i could have got a better comfort...all in all the car did perform up to my expectation...

exterior/interior wise what can i say...WWHHOOOAAAAA....
i guess i am done testing this car and for those who are looking forward to choosing this type of vehicle, all i can say is go for it man....i did my booking oredy and hoping to get it soon...no regrets...

looking forward for other reviews from proud owners of sportage...

i was at kepong branch...went hunting the other day to all the kia branches and manage to find this unit to test...they do not have a test unit but this sportage was there at that time because the owner decided not to buy the techno orange colour n wait for another colour....

i took the show unit from that branch lol

i didn't do any rapid acceleration but did smell the salon perming type of smell once.

who got car already in this forum?

  I am new here. Own a 2009 Sportage. Generally the car is good although fc is a bit high 12l/100km. But recently had a bad spell with my car immedietly after 2 years of warranty: problems
  a) airbag prob.. modular out
  b) my aircon compressor out
  c) clock spring out ... changed during warranty but gave problem 2 
    months later. after warranty changed my own paid abt RM400.00.
      Frusttttt

Although I hv purchased the extended warranty, the airbag according to them is not covered.. FRUSSSTTTTT. Cost of repairing can reached RM 3,000.00

  As for the aircon, hv submitted for claim. Hopefully will be approved. may cost up to RM4.000.00.

  FRUSSSTttt my car has only gone about 35000 km when all this prob comes..

Thinking of buying an used Kia Sportage 2.0 AT 1st Generation 4x4 for some minor off road during weekends. Minor ones.

What should I be on the look-out when I scout for one. What are those common problems/issues with the car? Is maintenance costly and parts still available?
