There is a point many people missing here

That is like saying the industry is demanding that their actors are allowed to use banned drugs. Its illegal, what can they blame the government for?

Internet censorship is illegal, period. This is a point that many Malaysian seems to be missing, there is no reason to discuss about piracy and what not, the bottom line here is that government cannot censor the internet. In a democratic system, that is illegal.

Here's the saddest part: Several months later everyone forgets. This issue never existed. Everyone lived happily ever after.

Haha Malaysians, you're in this mess because you want this mess.

Even right now no one is making an issue out of this internet censorship, sadly.
Most malaysian are just not well informed enough to know the consequences of internet censorship, they don't know what it can lead to if the government is allow to block internet sites as they wish.

Even worse is the local artist support SKMM, as if people wants their steaming pile of sh*t to begin with. Those people are mentally handicapped, again failing to see why internet censorship is just wrong. And delusional too, thinking this will actually stop downloaders and make people buy their crap.

Most of us here who are computer-literate knows about it, but unfortunately we're only a small majority of young Malaysians sad.gif

People like our parents, our uncle aunty, the older generations, they are all not aware of this, which is why the government is not under pressure, and it goes practically unnoticed.

For example, the 1.8million dollar Facebook page fiasco, that is generating more media attention which forces the government to response to the criticism because everyone knows whats going on, they know that it is bad. But internet censorship, most people don't understand why it can lead to bad things.
