QUOTE(chardhan @ Sep 21 2011, 11:54 AM) i got problem, yesterday night i was restore back my ipad 2 3g 32G (4.3.3) but fail (error 3194 and 1013). but luckily i got 4.3.3 .shsh. now i dunno wat to do next, who can teach me. The reason your restore did not work was because Apple no longer signs 4.3.3 (that's why you got the 3194 error)who can help me? please..... I have read that even if you have the 4.3.3 SHSH saved, you WILL NOT be able to downgrade the iPad 2 3G version as the baseband will also need to be verified BUT, Since you NEVER upgraded your iPad 2 3G (4.3.3) to 4.3.5, you baseband may not have been upgraded and this may have been just the verification error (error 3194) SO Follow these steps to restore back your iPad 2 to 4.3.3 using your SHSH Restoring/Downgrading iPhone to 4.3.3 using TinyUmbrella This is for the iPhone, but it should be the same for the iPad 2 |

QUOTE(chardhan @ Sep 22 2011, 06:26 AM) Sweet!, glad to be of help.Added on September 25, 2011, 1:48 am QUOTE(klmc @ Sep 22 2011, 11:02 AM) no - not that i want to JB 4.3.5 , but with ios 5 out - and its JB'able .. isnt it possible for me to upgrade up to ios5 then JB it ? Where got iOS5 beta jailbreakbale for the iPad 2? The TETHERED JB for iOS 5 beta is available via redsn0w but not for the iPad 2 (heck redsn0w does not even work with the iPad 2)The ONLY jailbreak for the iPad 2 is via jailbreakme.com developed by comex which REQUIRES you to be on 4.3.3, all other firmware FAIL. QUOTE(rock4f3lla @ Sep 28 2011, 08:28 AM) Nope, you only have 4.3.5 saved so there is no way you can downgrade to any firmware lower than that. Can you try again with TU and go to the advance tab and make sure you check the box that says "Request SHSH from Cydia" and see if the 4.3.3 was ever saved there. Who knows, you might be lucky. |

QUOTE(justamember @ Sep 30 2011, 09:51 AM) Yay. I bought a 32gb wifi only version. They told me it's 4.3.5 but when I went home and check it was 4.3.3. Now i can jailbreak *happy* That is normal. Apple no longer signs 4.3.3 and are only signing 4.3.5, that is why Cydia can only get the 4.3.5 SHSH for your iPad. It just means that should anything happen to your iPad, you can only restore it to 4.3.5 so don't screw up the iPad I jailbreak-ed it but when i open cydia, the SHSH: iOS is 4.3.5...how come ah? what does that mean? Im really new to this so hopefully somebody could explain Added on October 1, 2011, 1:48 am QUOTE(suicai99 @ Sep 28 2011, 02:27 PM) His was at 4.2.1 and never been updated before. so i doubt there would be any chance for his 4.3.3 shsh to have been saved in cydia. This is not necessarily true. Even if you are on 4.2.1, if you open Cydia during the time that Apple is still signing 4.3.3, then most likely Cydia will automatically save the SHSH for you. This post has been edited by azraeil: Oct 1 2011, 01:48 AM |

QUOTE(Sinceretoot @ Oct 1 2011, 11:03 AM) hey guys, can i use this method to jb ipad 2? (tether) No. In the first place, it will not work even for iPhone 4 but there are others who strongly believes that it does work and I will not go into the argument.http://www.limera1n.cc/2011/09/jailbreak-4...ipod-touch.html and if new version for jb comes out, can i move from this tethered break to the untethered one? any side effects? Second, it WILL NOT WORK for the iPad 2 as it is not vulnerable to the limera1n exploit. Added on October 1, 2011, 7:32 pm QUOTE(Damonzero @ Oct 1 2011, 03:28 AM) I have read that downgrading the 3G version is problematic as there is not only the SHSH verification by Apple (which can be bypassed if you have your SHSH saved somewhere), but also the baseband verification which is problematic. Say that you accidentally upgraded from 4.3.3 to 4.3.5 but you have your SHSH saved, the upgrade would have also upgraded the baseband of the 3G iPad 2. So when you downgrade, iTunes will see that you have the correct SHSH (since you saved it) BUT it will notice that you baseband does not correspond with the firmware version and some people have been stucked at this pointBUT ...... Since you are still on 4.2.1 and you never upgraded but you do have SHSH saved in Cydia (you opened Cydia during the time Apple was still signing 4.3.3), then there will be no baseband conflict, you can upgrade using the SHSH, and also upgrade the baseband without any issue as the baseband version will be the same as the firmware version. For iPhone 4, if you are on 4.3.5, redsn0w tethered jailbreak is a straight forward jailbreaking process. Just need to point to 4.3.4 IPSW file.
P/S: Sorry, should have opened the link ... I saw limera1n in the address and immediately thought it was the "Downgrade without SHSh method" page. My apologies. This post has been edited by azraeil: Oct 1 2011, 09:06 PM |

WARNING: DO NOT JAILBREAK YOUR IPAD WITH HTTP://jailbreakme.com
QUOTE iPhone Dev-Team has announced that ConceitedApps has underhandedly sold JailbreakMe.com to an unknown entity and it is no longer safe for use. It's sad @ConceitedApps sold out http://jailbreakme.com for $$. Luckily we have http://jailbreaks.me and won't ever sell out, said MuscleNerd. the new owner of jailbreakme.com is absolutely unknown, untrusted, and unsafe..in perfect place for iPhone malware everything jailbreakme.com used to host will soon be on jailbreaks.me. Don't trust jailbreakme.com anymore (seriously) it's the worst kind of sellout by @ConceitedApps. They didn't even give us a chance to migrate actual jailbreakers ConceitedApps has reportedly responded saying "he is lucky i even let them use it for years after they "kicked" me out. i owe them nothing" We'll let know as soon as the iPhone Dev-Team and Comex manage to get jailbreaks.me up and running. QUOTE(davidfly80 @ Oct 15 2011, 09:55 AM) Hi, No. Not with the iPad 2. For iPad 1 you can use iFaith as it is vulnerable to the limera1n exploit but for iPad 2, No. You can jailbreak it but if anything happens then the jailbreak will be gone.just bought ipad 2 with ios 4.3.3 . Is it still possible to backup shsh since apple no longer signing this firmware ? |

QUOTE(davidfly80 @ Oct 15 2011, 10:26 AM) Correct. You can jailbreak by visiting http://www.jailbreakme.com and it will jailbreak your iPad 2 but you cannot save your SHSH so if anything happens and you need to restore the iPad 2, you will not be able to downgrade down to 4.3.3 |

QUOTE(shah05 @ Oct 16 2011, 01:02 PM) Advisable for you to download the latest version of TinyUmbrella. Some TU version are not compatible with the latest firmware.Ohh by the way, TU will NOT be able to save 4.3.3 anyway as Apple has stopped signing 4.3.3 a loooong time ago. You will need to use iFaith to save it or if you have jailbroken it before, you may want to check if Cydia has it and TU can get the SHSH from Cydia.
