well, those things shud be ok
but i dun rememebr my 90mm can focus tat near

or the pic is crop?

i think also the question, if u set the camera on the tripod, how to make sure ur bug wont be moving and u'll have to reset the whole setup again...

I don't about others but my experience is:

catch the bugs and bring it to your house, set the backdrop - trees, leaves, flowers etc. etc. on a table and put a white or black background on the table.

set your equipment, tripod and flash, release the bug into the 'stage', and wait for perfect compo and release your shutter.

need time and passion as your bugs might fly away easily tongue.gif

no bug abuse for macro shoots, please. biggrin.gif

If want go so close + without crop, try 90mm + raynox smile.gif

How to setup? I never use tripod and i just use a flash gun with rm10 oni bounce diffuser and shoot only. no much setup just simple one.
