use root explorer, much more easier.. mount as r/w find the efs folder and copy it to internal sd card.. store that efs folder in a safe place (PC,thumbdrive etc)

just to share that i've found out an apps that can hide your images from appearing at Gallery.

Its called Audio Manager.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.s...e=search_result

you can basically hide anything from Apps to Images, Encrypt contacts to Videos!

thanks!

im now happy on GB stock rom~ thumbup.gif

Well my friend just whatsapp me from pg, he got this i9000 flashed to 233 by Samsung noob

If you flash stock official rom and send for repair,  you'll save a lot of headache.
Use odin to flash.  It's really easy. Note that if you send your phone without official firmware, rooted with custom rom, they'll say that you've voided your warranty.
*
Maybe its slightly different here, I have sent my rooted phone w/ custom rom to service center before. No probs.

Anyways running 234 now finally did it after few hrs of reading. There were many errors when it went 1st boot. but forgot to take a photo of it. After that seems to be working!
