well if they said theres gonna be an Apple Event on September then it has to be the launching of iOS 5 and iPhone.
iPod could see a refresh too as its already almost 1 year

it will be together, cos apple will ship iPhone 5 with iOS5.
they won't ship the phone first.
has to be either they ship it at the same time or release the OS first
