anyone tried using iPad VGA adapter and a VGA to RCA adapter connect to the TV ?
does it works ? wanted to get the adapter for air play movie purposes ...

how it should work ? VGA adapter only can send to projector and other VGA devices ?

I assume you want to connect your iPad to a SD / CRT / non-LCD TV? The ones with the yellow, red and white composite inputs? Well, I have asked the same question:

and basically it will not work. That is, unless you buy of of the scan converter box thingy. Read the article in one of the link in the above thread, it shows you the converter box that you need to use. I decided it is just too troublesome to connect to too many devices / adapter.

how about your option 2 ? so any solution to connect ipad to your old tv for now ?

Direct connection works, but the quality is terrible (compare 1024x768 on your pad with 640x480 interlaced on your TV). Don't waste money on anything other than VGA or HDMI connection as you are better off with your iPad screen.

I think option 2 only works for certain apps only, like Photos and Videos. It will not mirror the display. Basically no solution for me.
