Razer Imperator 4G, Steelseries Xai, Logitech G700.

Dilemma between those 3. doh.gif

I see many don't really recommend imperator? But i like the design and the lighting tongue.gif
*
IMHO ur better off with teh G700 or Xai... lotsa ppl complain abt the 4G's battery life and robustness

This is the mouse that I'm currently using. I'm sure some of you have seen it, but not many people own it.

Not bad for a SGD70 dollar mouse I'd say. Comes with Free mousepad as well. Though I don't use that mousepad at all since I prefer cloth surface.

Well.. we could probably tell better if we know what is the brand and model of the mouse ur talking abt tongue.gif

Just look up sidewinder X3 on the net and it is pretty good for the price.
One of the review i read says the mouse not suitable for right handed? is it true? 0.0'

Btw, i wonder if GM-M6800 worth to buy?
*
The Gigabyte mouse is ok for normal usage, quite comfy with rubber grip on the side but... it doesn't last long... within few mths problems started with the buttons being unresponsive and nearing the end of the year... K.O

Both not gooding, wait for Diablo 3 Mouse from Steelseries, that is gooding. lol hahahahahahaha.

Anyway, for looking special, you might as well look for rare stuff that people normally don't use.

Madcatz R.A.T mouse, Corsair M60/M90 Mouse, Roccat Kone Plus, Steelseries, Razer.

The most special mouse of all, is this Zalman FPSGUN FG1000
i don't think it's available in Malaysia anymore.
*
FYI... Saw the DIII mouse in Viewnet already... just yesterday brows.gif the DIII Siberias are there too

I think deathadder is the best mouse out there.

It has no prediction, and perfect control reaches up to almost 4m/s. Imo best mouse for serious gamers. It's also an optical mouse, xai and other mouses have laser sensors and they aren't really that good. Nonetheless xai is still a nice choice, a little bit expensive but you can't go wrong with the deathadder.

only bad side of the death adder is its lift off distance which is tremendously high.
*
??? now how come laser sensor mice aren't thatgood?? they're suppose to be the successor of the optical mouse IINM premium mouse could even adjust the prediction and lifting sensors are supposedly superior...

so.. how come ur saying that they're inferior?? hmm.gif

From my own thoughts.

Laser sensor aren't that perfect yet, if you would wanted to compare with optical sensor, since optical sensor has been used and improve over time, and become fully utilize. While Laser sensor are still new and haven't fix all it's flaw yet.(i mean compare to compare the age of technology between optical and laser)

So far, Optical is still a good way to go, mainly because it's much cheaper compare to mouse that use laser sensor.(friendly to budget user for accurate mouse)
*
Well, laser and optical mouse are both born from the same tech (LED) but they differ in terms if the type of lights emitted from the sensor. So in terms of development, laser sensors are actually a variation of LED and thus making the technology as old as Optical tracking itself.

Laser mouse have are better than Optical mouse in a sense that it has Higher DPI tracking and Works on more surfaces.

if a user have a problem with a laser mouse, my guess is that its not the technology thats at fault but rather the particular mouse itself cause some laser mouse do have issues with their tracking sensors (RAT anyone??)

IIRC not all optical mouse passes the mark for a "good" mouse either

Ops, my wrong information then, but aren't optical mouse become commercially available first?
*
yes the opticals were out first because at that time the laser diodes were too powerful (also require more power) to become like what it is today its only after year 2000 (dunno which year) that there is a laser mouse available for the masses wink.gif

Only FPS?? grip style? right / left handed...
I would go for the G400 when playing fps as I don'r need too many buttons and I'm a palm/claw grip type.. the G300 is a good mouse for RPG cause of the multiple programmable buttons on it

what do you mean by prediction?
*
Prediction and correction of movement. Lets say ur trying to make a horizontal movement. Of course your hand isnt 100% steady, so your line will have slight diversions and wouldnt be completely straight.

prediction on the mouse helps with elimnating small deviations of the hand movement so that a straight line can be produced... however this also means that u lose precision.... on some games .. precision is very much needed to win

wow the old mx518 is the best mouse i ever use... kinda missed it.

u can still get the Mx518 albeit its old stock so u can prolly get it for about Rm10 cheaper than the G400... both have the same shape but the buttons might feel different from the 518 based on the feedback here

I'm using my laptop to game. Playing League of Legends. Between Razer Orochi and Logitech G700, which one is a better choice?

I'm new to gaming and I think my grip would be classified as palm grip. Is the Orochi as comfortable as people say though it is small? I don't mind using the Orochi wired.
*
the orochi has been out for quite a while and frankly speaking I don't see a lot of recommendation for it compared to the other mouse of the same price point... the G700 does have more buttons IIRC and might be useful in RPG/Strategy games... but maybe my opinion here is a bit biased here as I'm not really a Razer fan tongue.gif

not quite sure how much is Ikari Optical now, but IINM, it used to be RM199. Not worth it imho, especially with cheaper yet better mices like Xornet, Spawn, G500 etc DA is a good one too, and it's cheaper!
*
Ots still rm199 bro yeah totally not worth it they should lower the price for this old favourite already

if you want no mousepad use deathadder. its perfect with and without mousepads.
btw has anyone used logitech g1? or know if theres any shops that sells them. looks like the perfect mice to me. light, good optical sensor nice grip. cheap
*
I'd just get a cheapo mousepad in the mean time rather than none at all... replacing the mouse feet is much more hassle tongue.gif

the G1? don't see it on shelves anymore... u can get the g100 / g110 which are new replacement models... but yes I do agree that the G1 mouse is a good one used it before and its solid albeit being so light... replaced it because I need side buttons on my mouse... my ex-colleague still using it since I sold it to her lolx
