Actually the trip was completed recently,
We did find turkish restaurants but as keii-kun said,
doubted on the halal-ness of their food. I'm not Muslim but the people I came with are. In the
end they just had Malaysian self-made tuna / sardine sandwiches and fruits for the duration of
the trip.
But maybe I should go looking for tanoshii's posts for future references.
It'll be easier for Muslims and also vegetarians.

most major attractions in tokyo have halal restaurants (mostly indian/nothern indian).
in akihabara have a few. because a lot of bangladeshi/indian working there
if all fail i usually eat at ten-ya and drink free flow green tea there
