Do I need to go Japanese Embassy in KL to apply for visa? I understand that I can do it online but do I need to go embassy to finalise it.

Are you sure you can do online? In any case, I'd think you still need to go twice to embassy, no? Once to give documents and once to pick up passport. It's fast and efficient one, both times you go, it's like 15 minutes wait only.

15mins now maybe. Previously I had to wait 2~3 hours I guess it depends on luck and timing.

Wah that long? Must be last time before tsunami much more ppl applying visa so you have to wait longer? I applied 1.5 months ago, seriously was 15 minute in and out both for submission of docs and collection. My BF applying in singapore JP embassy also same thing, 15 mins.

What is the season in Japan during May? Is it still spring?

From google:

Spring months are March, April, and May. Summer months are June, July, and August. Autumn months are September, October, and November. Winter months are December, January, and February.

can i ask what flight go from KLIA direct reach tokyo narita airport?
visa application need to wait how long minimum day?

google would have given you all the info you need in less than 30 seconds: http://www.my.emb-japan.go.jp/English/visit.html

Off the top of my head, Japan Airlines, MAS and AirAsia all fly direct to Tokyo.

According to the link given above, we Msians working in Sg also have to go back to Msia to apply the visa?

The Embassy of Japan in Singapore only accepts visa applications from residents* of Singapore.

* Residents = Citizens, permanent residents or foreigners who are holders of Dependent Pass, Student Pass, Employment Pass, Work Permit and long-term SV pass.

Small side note is that in Singapore, morning session = submission, afternoon session = collection. You can't go in the afternoon to submit documents.

Wonder if its possible to stay in Japan for 1 month tongue.gif like save up enough moolah then go there for 1 month, go visit all the places in Japan...

Anyone knows how much approx would I need =x? (if I were to travel like say to tokyo, osaka, kyoto, hokkaido, etc)

Just wondering if MYR 10k ~ 20k enough or not @_@ currently saving $ to go in a few years time..

Seems OK ah. I spent 3k in Tokyo in a week per person, and this is including shopping, buying kimono/yukata, eating omakase sushi sets at tsukiji fish market (twice). Extend that to 4 weeks and cut off unnecessary spending and expensive eating and it seems 10k-ish is doable.
