hi guys hajimemashite~

I went to Japan last year on only one purpose and that was to see idols XD

Saved up for 9 months before I could afford a trip on my own only to finish them on cutthroat front row reseller seat tickets and idol merchandise XDD

and what the heck?! McDonald prawn burger also almost RM30 per set? ^^;
kebab also one piece RM28?! haiyooo... at most I'll just be visiting 7E and get myself some cheap onigiri/inari zushi etc ^^; Vending machines are my best friend! 100 yen for a giant can of calpis is really soothing~

btw, I was staying for a week in asakusa (sakura hostel to be exact).. damn cheap that time Autumn season promo 15000 yen for a week, but stay in mixed dorm only laa.. but seriously that place so clean, staff very helpful and the guests are surprisingly very friendly. Shibuya was always where I'd be hanging around, catching idol events, karaoke etc. Big idol concert was at Budoukan, went for 2 nights to celebrate idol graduation~

at night also, really safe laaa.. walk in dark alley also nobody wanna rape u maa (even though im a guy ^^; ) see homeless ojisan all really creative make a 'fortress' out of cardboards..

sorry if irrelevant i dunno what else to talk about on this thread ^^; anyway that was my intro, kore kara yoroshiku onegaishimasu ne^^

ahh your welcomee biggrin.gif

anyway, i think if one was not too careful of their spendings, its a bit dangerous sweat.gif

in japan, 100 yen is about RM4.00 +/- ... that one also pkai duit syiling only.. 500 yen coin is already RM20.. two 500 yen coin already RM40.

because their nature is coin, people also tend to treat it as coin value sweat.gif myself included icon_rolleyes.gif

in the end, this got me to thinking.. if one were to work in japan, and bring all the money back to Malaysia... millionaire? hmm.gif
just think of it, japanese people can easily buy things worth 600-800 yen like per ramen bowl, then if they come here as tourists, yen value also very strong..

because what has been a stereotype thinking of malaysian people was, to work in UK or US where the currency is stronger, than come back become millionaire just because multiply by exchange rate. I guess Japan should also be one of those choices?

You haven't stay in Japan before...One normal job salary only enough cover those water , electrical , tel bill only....not enough for eat.  You can ask 10 people who work before in Japan...ask them what is the life....and come back to malaysia can be Millionaire? ...
nahhh...

ya ya i know that one.. but that aside, i mean if money in yen could be saved bit by bit, and then one day come back to msia can become kaya also right?

all the way to eat McDonald's???...ahhahaah....

if you are on thrift mode...it's always great to find

a) late night suppers; sandwiches, onigiri, or bentos that you can reheat in your dorm for morning munchies. Mostly discounted over late evenings...so, best time to hunt.

b) also the not so healthy choice would be buying your noodle and cooking there.

c) on weekdays, there are some areas that you can see blue collar shirt worker going for lunch. Those areas are the cheapest of the cheapest..
I usually eat at $400-500 yen for an enormous amount of just buckwheat noodle, and a cup of occha.

Been there, done that...eventhough I have fixed allowance of Y$8000 per day just for food and misc.

ohh bukann.. I also Muslim.. not many choices to eat sweat.gif I forgot about that point.. thats why go mcd only ..they use vegetable oil right~ and sometimes find kebab stands where those turkish people sell, all halal can eat.. sushi at 7 eleven i kena pandai2 sendiri la sweat.gif

and yeah, I'd settle for that buckwheat noodles~ however, i think what i purchase was only around 300 yen~ ah not forgetting 100 yen for a can of calpis to go with that XD
