Of course PETRONAS would love to take Geology fresh grads. The pay will be the same when you enter but after 2-3 years and once you pass the technical assessment, you will be assigned to your skill group and you will be in tier 1 or 2 (high demand skill group) where you will be on different remuneration scheme (faster promotion, higher merit increment, higher bonus and technical allowances). By the time you have 7-9 years experience, you should be looking at 12-15k salary range.

I am more than happy to oblige to undertake the technical assessment and the process involved, but do you mind briefing me about what goes on during that period and how they assess your capabilities and aptitude? blink.gif and I have one important question for everyone, how do other companies(e.g. Middle East, Australia etc) start looking you up to give you job offers overseas? Do they go through your company's HR beforehand and ask how many years experience have you had or something? Sorry haha I'm not well-versed with these things and I love to plan ahead a lot. Please enlighten me? icon_question.gif
