hey guys n gals..would like to ask something about the refund. This is my first time submit this income tax BE form, I submitted on April, suppose to have 177.36 refund to my Maybank acc. Lately I check my maybank acc and realise there is 77.66 transfer from svg giro cr, which I think should be refund from LHDN as this acc is not expose to others purpose. So my questions are
1) Do they send us any notification regarding on the refunding?either by email or mail?
2) The refund amount is different from what I suppose to get back, should I give them a call on this or they will bank in to me again later?
3)any reasons that make them refund me fewer than what I suppose to get?

Thanks in advanced.

1. No notification/letter (unless it's via cheque)
2. You may call them....
3. Maybe you actually owe them more then you thought ?

icic..thanks alot for the answer..just another question, I thought the refund amount is based on the amount that stated on the CUKAI TERLEBIH BAYAR(Tax Paid in Excess)? As that section mentioned that I have RM 177.36, so I thought they will refund me that amount. Anyway, will give them a call. When I call them, what should I tell them ar? Just ask them to check my income tax acc?

Normally is due to you wrongly declare or put higher than max amount allowed on certain parts.

My advise is always:
(1) Are you very clean and always declare ? Be prepared they pick you up and ask you bring all receipts, etc. for audit. If clear and nothing to hide, no problem. Else kantoi.

(2) It is your right to know, and they must be able to show you their calculation on the new amount. Just call up or email, set an appointment, location and go bang table with them. But ... be prepared for #1 above.

(3) Otherwise, for that RM100+, my normal advise is, just move on with your life. Otherwise, get audit, waste time, money, petrol, parking, summon for park at roadside, etc. At the end, may get fine/penalty cause they found out more irregularities or non-declare or under-declare from other years ... kantoi.

OK, noted on your advise and thanks for it. This is my first time to declare this income tax..thats why there are certain parts that I am unclear about..thanks alot anyway smile.gif

Hey guys, first timer here and would like to ask that when I want to pay income tax through cimb clicks and I came across with this No Ansuran, seems like the default value is set at 99 at LHDN there. Just wondering what is this and where can I find the correct value to put in? Thanks

If you are NOT paying Income Tax under Installment, then just put 99 (it's written on your physical form and M2U also defaults to 99)

Hi, thanks for the answer. Will put 99 since I am paying it 1 shot. Thanks again smile.gif
