I have a question regarding parent's medical bill. Have anyone submitted parent's pharmacy (like medicine purchased from Guardian/leading pharmacies) receipts for tax relief?

Anyone?

I have submitted in the past, parent's pharmacy bills (from pharmacy inside hospital, as well as prescription medication from non-hospital pharmacies).

Thanks Traveler. Not only I heard about medical bills, but also nutritious food like bird's nest can be submitted for claims as well - basically anything related to parents. Anyone can correct me, do let me know.

hi guys - i have a question - for the :

Faedah pinjaman perumahan (FYI I qualify so don't worry about that)

My house is under both my name and my wife's name and my interest is approx 8k for 2011 - should this be split equally 50-50 or can this be fully allocated to either myself or my wife for the pelepasan? does anyone know?
*
CyberKewl, you can split it by %, make sure you retain that document that mentioned the interest you paid in case it's being asked.

Ok, so that means can split 50% but also can fully allocate to either person right just as long as has the document for proof?
*
That's right.

My wife used to work but for the past 7 year has not been working to take care of our child. Hence for the e-filing, we opt for joint-assessment (spouse no income).

The question:
Does she need to submit e-BE form too? (she has income tax file from previous job long ago).

This is the first time I'm using e-filing, previously I just submitted the BE form for my wife with all "0" in the income column.
*
You don't need to file for your wife, if you opt for joint-assessment. There is a portion where you have to input your wife's information e.g. IC, tax number, full name etc.

With effect from YA2011, medical treatment for parents is extended to include expenses to care for parents.

My mum is immobility (leg handicap) and suffer brain cancer. hence i hired cambodian maid due to i'm working, no one take care of her.

can i claim the relief of max RM5000 (maid salary)?

hi,

i have some questions here.

1. my sister is a private home tutor, she should be using B or BE form?

2. my galfriend blogs for a living. she has two websites and earning money from her popular cooking and tailoring websites. she should be using B or BE form?

both these two don't have majikan, and they don't have premis perniagaan nor kod perniagaan as well... so, any idea?
*
Legally your sister and gf needs to file for BE if salaried, file under Income Lain Lain.

Else register a enterprise/sole proprietary and file B.

another stupid question.
is that Ipad consider as COMPUTER? can relief tax?
and Telco Plan for eg, Digi Smart plan, can consider as Broadband fee?
*
Ipad WIFI version is only considered as a 'COMPUTER" for relief.

TELCO plans are not considered as 'Internet'. If you subscribed their pure "data plan" that's eligible for tax relief.

You may confirm with the LHDN officer.
