Is The Sims 2 Party Pack CD available at SB?
Not the Holiday Edition, but the add-on CD for those who already have The Sims 2? |

got a slight problem here....
just got a copy of Battlefield 2: Limited Special Edition (the one with the free shirt & cap) and was eager to play, when I realised that it wouldn't even boot up. Googled the problem and found out that my not-so-crappy GF4 TI 4600 is not supported. (damn pixel shader crap) Should have d/l the demo to try first. Does SB do any sort of exchange for these kinds of problems? FYI, the min. specs was not listed on the box or manual (i'm not sure about the normal RM119 ver., but the min specs were not printed on the Limited Edition one). My last resort would be to get a newer GFX card, but I dun really want to upgrade just becoz of 1 game. plus, my other games (like NFSMW) run quite smoothly without any problems. Cheers. |

QUOTE(zx7177 @ Nov 24 2005, 06:28 PM) that's why i'm not asking for a refund...an exchange will be sufficient... i was just wondering if SB has that kind of policy. The game is still unregistered and the free gifts are still unopened. honestly, i prefer to keep the game if i can play it....but i can't....stupid EA.... |

just called up SB, and the guy there gave me the bad news....
The answer: they can't do an exhange because the CD-Key has already been exposed, and the user (i.e. yours truly) might have already written it down to be used for illegal purposes. Well, I understand their concern but hope that next time they might warn potential buyers about problems like this. I can't even get the game to run, so the CD-Key is still unregistered and valid. And my GF4 TI 4600 is not going to retire anytime soon. I find it absurd that Half-Life 2 runs smoothly at almost-high detail, but i can't even boot Battlefield 2. That's EA for you... Sigh, so i'm left with no choice but to either: 1) sell the game 2) buy a spanking new GFX card (PC Fair here I come) This post has been edited by deathbringer: Nov 25 2005, 01:06 PM |

yes, get a spanking new GFX card, my old Radeon 9600XT can play it smoothly, with a constant FPS rate of 50+ (at medium settings). If ure on a tight budget get that card or something near it, should suffice enough. A good GFX card is definitely needed for BF2 especially when ure a pilot, lol, u'll get what i mean soon.
BTW Gamers, whats the status of my Razer Exactmat bundle? |
