referring to TS story about going into the ladies room but being stared at by uncle and aunty:
well, the older people get, their eye sights degrade. So I guess its fair to say they probably cant tell that you're female.
then again I have male friends my age (24-26) who have no idea the "dudes" at the next table are tomboys.
To me the only thing that matters to me is if a person is nice or not nice.
I have bumped into a couple of very rude tomboys before. They think because they have less ladylike features they can behave "manly" and rude and quite honestly, disgusting.
